     History
Since the beginning of the colony, shipwrecks have happenend. Some where big and are now touristic attractions like the Empress of Ireland shipwreck, but some others are mor subtil and never got the media attention. I will include in the selection all those boats that are waiting to be fully rotten and slowly dying from little or no use at all since years.

Shipwrecks are becoming very rare, the "L'Acalmie" wooden boat is the only one than now be found in the St-Laurent river between Montreal and Tadoussac. When I was a kid, I remeber going on some nice rotting 120' steel boats at Louiseville. They are now dismantled, L'acalmie reigns now.
