The "goélette" M P Émilie (now L'Accalmie) was built in 1957 in Île-aux-Coudres by the master carpenter Paul Mailloux on behalf of the company Desgagné & Perron Inc and was directed by the captain Éloi Perron of this place. It was exploited by the owners, who had carried out his construction, during the totality of his active career. It was still on the bank close to the quay of Bay-St-Paul in spring 2003. It is sad to note that it will probably not be preserved as a monument to the marine ancestors of this town as it should be. Its registration file at Transport Canada was closed on May 23, 1974.

Who knows? With luck, someone may be willing to raise the cash necessary to restore this vessel. As Spek mentioned, as long as it doesn't get burned down by the vandals or broken for scrap, there's always a chance.
