There is so much to see and it is so "pristine" that a whole week would not be enough ! But be aware though, the guards do their run..we had to hide more than once..!

If you guys go back, make sure to minimize the time you spend around the back of the plant near the canal. I'm pretty sure there's either a camera or a motion detector there.

I think there is a potable setup they put on the open doors that alerts them. When the three of us got busted there was a rope attached to the inside of a door that wasn't preventing me from opening it, but seemed attached to something. 30 seconds later a black truck pulls up!

i don't understand... if they are leveling the site, who the fuck cares if some people take some pics. amaze them by telling them the differences between white, black and green liquors, the dangers of lime dust, etc.

Maybe it's a liability issue. It would look pretty bad if some kids died in there because the place was wide open. Either that, or they aren't done removing salvageable items from all the buildings yet.

from what I have been told, when IP closed Lockhaven and Erie, the place sat empty for maybe two weeks and then it was bulldozed into the ground... ironically, the mill in Corinth NY has sat empty and intact for a few years now... they keep sending maintenance crews down there to pirate parts off of their turbine.
