I've had my eye on these for quite awhile. Had some time on my hands and decided to check them out just before dark. They are still in use, so I'm going back tomorrow after 5pm to get some more shots.

This is the only picture I got with my digital camera that you can actually see. Sorry for the poor quality.

These are pictures from an active cement company site. Old train tracks run through here as well, which is what originally attracted my attention.

The tracks with the tower in the background.

Pics near the top of the silo.

Edit: Grr. I attempted to do the gallery thing, but I can't seem to get it. :/

I might aswell throw a few in here to try and keep it on track.

Wallescote Soda Ash Works. Based next to the live site and connected by a 'bridge'. This place had suffered since it's closure but it got rid of my fear of heights.

Royal Doulton became world famous for thier pottery which became collector's items. Explore was mint. Trashed by Pikeys but fun nonetheless.

Just Mugs. Untrashed and full of stuff. I loved that place.

Whittingham Asylum. Been many many times and I love it. I have thousands of photos of the place.

St. Joseph's Seminary. Best place I have ever been. Untrashed, full of stuff and like stepping back in time. Could have spent forever in there. Went back a few times.

Annesley Colliery. Part of a 28DaysLater group visit. Trashed but full of stuff and full of history. Another great place. Climbing that headstock was bloody scary.

Just a couple of the many sites I have been to.

Well, I guess this is the closest to guarded I have been, fenced in on a major roadway between an active old folks' home, a neighborhood, and a gas station. It had spent some time as a hobo hideaway, but the new realtors drove them out and put up a fence.

With a main office that groovy, who could resist?

How old is that computer

Unfortunately there was no power in this location so I didn't have a chance to boot it up, looking at it I am assuming around over 10 year old though.

That would be interesting to see what kind of files are stored on it, or if it even boots up at all.

The majority of computers I have found in disused buildings that still have power are generally networked so account name and password are often required.

These are part of a project I'm attempting. Essentially it's a website with the locations of these places, and a statement of purpose. If you explore the sites and give some form of proof to be placed on the blog you get a free print.

The website is: www.BehindDoors-Th...nture.blogspot.com

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I'm sure there's a way around it. ;]
