| | | makes sense to me. well anyhow, As I said, my place is open for people stay in. but it would be nice to let me know now, so I can make plans on friday. I know that some people like to get well rested and all that before any thing major, especially after a long drive and all that. but if no one is showing up friday then I would like to make plans for some thing else. http://artofbleedi...m/poison-show.html [last edit 1/19/2006 2:39 AM by dirt - edited 1 times]

| | | Wow. I just checked back at the event page, and I think we're going to have to get a really big table... 13 RSVP'd, and it seems like more than half of those people are bringing someone... o_O;;

| | | as you all know, downtown is one of the oldest parts of LA. so there is alot to do for one you have to consider that we are right next to the la river, which means drains, lots of drains. there is a rumor that there is an underground living area that was used during world war two. plus may other places that I have seen, and all the places others have seen. and for those who don't feel like exploring there is alot to do for example: http://srl.org/ http://fringexhibitions.com/

| | | Yeah. I can just imagine a gigantic amoeba of people walking over, each individual trying to look inconspicuous as we collectively hop fences (visualize the blob of people just scaling the fence like goop). ROFL. Anyways. Going over to the LA river sounds pretty leet. And by pretty leet, I mean really awesome. **edit: If we don't end up going UEing, then I say we go to Little Tokyo. Or Chinatown and all get madmax bars. [last edit 1/20/2006 3:39 AM by 1040am - edited 1 times]

| | | It is saturday! I'll be seeing all of you later. I hope that all of this goes well. and in response to the ambassador, the ones in power and/or have money, really don't care about history. and architecture bah, who needs it. to them victorian, edwardian, deco, craftsman, these are a things of the the past. they don't care, they are perfectly fine living in a box that looks like everyone elses box.

| | | So, I was already to come down, getting all my stuff together last night. I was planning on bringing totensiebush and another buddy of mine from Santa Maria... Then my car got jacked (or at least it came close...) These yahoos tried to steal it, fortunately they didn't get far. I mean, it's just a commuter car, nothing special. But now the ignition is all drilled out... I guess they were too drunk or stupid to actually pull it off. So yeah. Because of all the trouble, I obviously didn't make it down there today. At least I still have my car... Apologies to totensiebush -- hope you were still able to make it down there with seany or someone... Hopefully something like this happens again soon... Alex

| | | Crap. Okay, so I moved to the L.A. area from a small northern CA town last September, and I was hoping I'd find a group of urban explorers and go on some rad expeditions. I came across this thread, and kept waiting for anything to happen on it, but then just forgot about it after a few weeks and stopped trying to find an exploration group... well, what do you know, but I log on today and find five more pages of people talking about how eager they are to meet up and do some exploring! Needless to say, I was thrilled, but then dismayed that I hadn't re-discovered the thread one day earlier, and been able to attend the meeting you all are surely in the throes of. I would love to participate in any future meetings/expeditions, as I have had great enthusiasm for exploring for several years and have rarely had a chance to do anything substantial in a big city context. I'm 18 years old and I have a car, so I'm up for anything. Thanks! - Graham
