Creepy Inmate's abandoned house

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's that time again on UER_South! It's 10:00 and it's Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaptain_Slow and his fabulous bum camp finding skills!

Found an entire abandoned neighborhood in butt-F nowhere country side. This is house 1 / 5 or so and there's still a massive old abandoned chicken farm in the same neighborhood to explore. All in due time. For now, enjoy the inmate house, brought to you by CaptainSlow and PrivateJoker.

1. Exterior

2. Someone, or something uprooted the shed (note the deep foundation posts!) and flipped it on it's side.

3. This shed REEKED. I mean REEKED. It was stuffed full of garbage, boxes, bins and you name it. But it REEKED like something was rotting BAD in the shed. Either someone died in there or a whole family of racoons ate something bad and died in there.

4. Old Well

5. Entryway, living room, supply closet and bedroom. interesting layout.

6. The front door was brutally ripped off the hinges and thrown partway through the front window in the living room. Storm damage? Note all the glass is broken inwards.

7. More storm damage or brutal abuse

8. Trashed living room

9. All the glass was broken into the house, and part of the floor has collapsed into the crawlspace. We thought storm damage... Ideas?

10. Yup, that's a mother f-ing plank that got thrown THROUGH the wall.

11. Demolished den

12.&13 This was kind of creepy. Whoever had lived in here built what really, really, REALLY looked like a "containment" room of some kind of out a nursery. There where two entrances to the containment room, one was completely walled up with thick plywood, the other entrance to the room had the same thick ass plywood but as a door, and it was only able to be opened from outside the room. It was there when people were living there, and it was obviously there to keep someone in/out. It wasn't a product of it being abandoned, the plywood was much, much too old. The house has been abandoned for ~2 years, the wood was at least 10 years old (very weak and spongy.) It was also very strongly built, thick plywood and lots and lots of nails. The only thing that can make sense to me was the family had a very rebellious child and walled him in for isolation therapy and left the door that only opens from the outside so he can eat, bathroom, etc. Either that or a very young child died in there and they walled it up to keep out memories. It wasn't a storm room, there was a large window that wasn't boarded up or barred, removing any saftey of it being a storm room.

12.

13.

14. Inside the "containment room"

15. More of the "containment room"

16. Back of the "containment room" door

17. Bedroom... Very nice bedroom set still in there. Cool truck too. Totally a bum camp. Fresh sheets on the bed, pillow, clothes, food trash, food and porn.

18. One of the drawers was filled with hotel soap.

19. Only graffiti we could find, strange as this place is wide open.

20. There where acouple papers documenting some past or present tenant's incarceration and subsequent release from prison 2 years later. I refuse to give out any names, but given how new, clean and organized the papers were in relation to the rest of the bric-a-brac left from when the house was in use, they've been put in there recently. We looked it up on the county crime database, dude has a string of violent crimes starting when he was about 16 with simple assualt, leading up to felony burglary with a deadly weapon at age 21.So if you see anyone in this house if you go to check it out... LEAVE.

21. Oh yeah and more porno.

22. The kitchen

23. Dishes still in the dishwasher.. sad..

24. Appliances still in the cabinets

25. And in the drawer... OH HOLY SHIT A PRISON SHANK. Straight up, mother fucking prison shank. I didn't open the tinfoil but there was definitely a good amount of SOMETHING in it, I'm guessing drugs.

We beat it after we saw the shank. Very, very cool mysterious house, I'd definitely go again, but let me make this very clear: THERE IS PROBABLY MAYBE SORTA A VIOLENT EX-FELON CRACKHEAD HOBO LIVING IN THE HOUSE. Don't go at night, don't go alone, and take some epic pictures.

Cool find! That place looks like it would have some really interesting stories to tell. The fact that an ex-inmate might be there is pretty freaky, though. But I guess that's life, right?

Thanks!

I forgot to mention, all the prison docs show the address of the house itself, but where too fresh to have been sitting since the place was abandoned.

So.. The running theory that me and PrivateJoker came up with is... Young boy is born, grows up in the house with parents. Kid is troubled, starts committing violent crimes, parents wall him in the "containment" room, which exacerbates his violent tendencies and leads him to eventually commit a very violent robbery. While he is in prison, or perhaps before, the parents move away / die and leave the kid the house (he was 21 when he went to jail). While he serves his time, a big storm, multiple storms, vandals, whatever, wrecks his house, and when he comes back from jail he finds his house trashed, parents gone, and has no money and nowhere to go so he's just squatting... In his own house.

The only time I found any magazines like that was in a cemetery, along with some polaroids of a man naked... in the cemetery.

It was pretty creepy. We tore the pics up and buried them. And its in the middle of the woods next to a lake, so who knows? Maybe he was right there, watching us the whole time.
