i'm not suggest you don't go, just don't go without knowing what you're getting into. I personally wouldn't go unless I was with someone who knew they what they were doing, and I highly suggest you don't either.

I end it with this bit of recent news:

just watch out. I'm not suggesting this for my health, but yours.

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

Amusingly we were in the NYC subway on a few days before/after that. Good times!

while its heartwarming to hear your concern for my life, i guess i should explain a couple things: i have done a bit of UE before. I grew up in Katowice, which I doubt anyone is familiar with. This is a big, industrial city in poland. Our maind products are coal, and steel. And where does coal come from? mines, hundreds of miles of tunnels, most of which did nopt pass government safety regulations. I know what putting your life on the line is. I also did quite a bit of unassisted climbing back in poland. Couple hundred feet in he air without a harness is not something one survives without being careful. I know the dangers of subways. Ive lost a cousin, nd a half-cousin, one in a tube surfing accident, and one who got as you call it "fried" by the third rail. I know what i'm getting into. So before you tell me i'm going to die, know this: that won't detter me. Life on the couch is worthless. As little fun fact most moles have been found to have a deficiency in impulse control, which leads to alcohol, drug, and adrenaline addictions. Doing this stuff is in my blood.
And will skith, yes, i can awnser many of those questions, though by no means all of them. (Roughly 50%)

I'm glad to finally see a multi-sentence post from you. I do feel a little better after reading this. Just be careful and do plenty of research and planning. Taking risks is great and I fully agree with all of what you said about that, just understand that this is a serious risk and do whatever you possibly can to minimize that. I still think you'd be better to do more lower risk active sites first to gain experience.

Are those your shots? They're nice (and the best contribution to this thread so far).

That system looks far too clean, there's not even graffiti.

No offense, but your way too reckless, regardless of your past experiences, or what you claim you know. Your 15/16- your still wet behind the ears.

Probably saved you life right there. I can tell from your posts you got balls, but your also too reckless. This will do one of two things to you- You will get very very hurt doing something you thought was safe, but in reality was very stupid- or you will die. How do I know? I've been there. Thankfully, I didn't die- but I gotta live with my decision and the pain it caused all those years ago.

Try answering other peoples questions, instead of constantly asking for a handout. A tad more maturity will go a long way. (in reference to the person who posted a "list" of questions you never answered- those were very good questions)

My 0.02 cents worth of useless crap. Back to lurking now.

At least to my knowledge there's not a lot of subway explorers here. Back in the day there was a liiiiittle bit of graf...but not much. They really cracked down and killed the graf scene here in the 90s. We actually had some really amazing stuff coming out of boston (see: Alert) but they killed it.
