| | | | I ran into another group before we all had gone in, so there were no mistakes about thinking they would be security guards. After thinking about it, my group had wished that we had delayed for another time as their group wasn't very quiet and had a lot of people in it.

| | | | I was in the abandoned subway in my city (Rochester) when we ran into another group. It was a couple twenty somethings and their guide and his eight year old daughter! We had a nice conversation about different places around the city. They were out-of-towners so we could recommend a few more good spots.
His daughter was such a cutie, I love when parents take their kids on UE trips!

It was dark enough that we couldn't see him down the hall until he lit up this blue key chain light that was exceptionally eerie. We stopped to rest and tried talking to him but he didn't seem to want anything to do with us.

| | | | I didn't exactly 'meet' him, but I had an encounter with another explorer of sorts the last time I went to Met State. While in one of the dorms I heard some noises coming from outside, and made my way to a window to see if I could figure out if it was security, or if I should get ready to capture the best orbz shot of my life. A quick look around didn't reveal the source of the noise, so I went back to what I was doing (stealing copper and patient records of course). As I was heading back towards the exit of the building I was in, I heard some more noises from outside, and again went to take a look. This time I saw a kid walking straight towards me, with a little pipe in hand, puffing away. Chuckling to myself, and contemplating whether or not to go out and ask him if he was the sharing type, I heard the distinct sound of a car approaching. The kid was close enough now that I could also see and hear his headphones blasting some terrible sounding metal, and I decided to sit back and enjoy the show. The car turned out to be a state trooper, who pulled right up behind the kid, and followed him for a few seconds before giving him a blast with his siren when he realized the kid was completely oblivious. Needless to say, the kid was searched, cuffed, thrown in the back seat and driven away. The funny part was I watched the statey chuck the kids pipe and weed into the bushes and was able to go retrieve them after a few minutes.
It was a beautiful sunset through the cloud of smoke in the tower that night... Thanks kid!

I was in Florence, MA taking pictures at a show, and a crappy band went on so I decided to drive 3 miles and take pictures at Noho State. I'm inside (and alone) not more than 5 minutes, I hear girls' voices and see flashes. Look out the window, saw nothing. Got the hell out, started walking around to the street side of the building, and met three kids just standing in the rubble within view of the street, one was taking pictures. They said they were ghost hunting. I left just in time for a cop to pull up and question them.
Fun times.
