I was overcome by the lack of the usual "someone tell me everything, I am too lazy to figure it out on my own" crap that I just didn't notice the spelling. One thing at a time I suppose.

| | | I'm new here...found this site about 3 weeks ago and have been extensively browsing the UE DB. I'm from the New Orleans area and my actual Urban Exploring has been limited mostly to the outside of buildings. I've been into a few abandoned sites, but always escorted by someone who actually had the right to be there...and unfortunately, never had a camera when I did. Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself. Jason

| | | Hey gang... A new guy here too. 30 years old in Toronto A few years back I found the infiltration web site through some magazine article. I was hooked, and kept coming back to the site to read about everybody's adventures. Well time passes. A couple month's ago I thought about the site and decided to go visit it. That's where I saw the sad news of Ninjalicious. I always did enjoy his stories. But on the positive side, that was where I found a link to this site too. So here I am. Hello. Just bought a new camera and getting back in to photography. Love shooting old buildings etc. I hope to meet up with some of you people sometime. I see that somebody is setting up a monthly meet at the liberty cafe. I live in the area, maybe i should swing by. Oh and one more thing, glad to see somebody explored that chair factory/warehouse up near dundas/bloor. Used to live in that area, always wondered about it. yeah yeah I know... I should've gone and checked it out myself.

| | | Well guys thanks for the welcoming. I am currently working on dismantling a old barn that is due to be torn down for YET ANOTHER set of houses the DFW doesnt need. However the owner of the property gave me full permission so we are removing what we want to save off of the 5 barns on this property. This is were my exploring and salvaging hobbies work together.

| | | I already posted this is 'what got you started in UE' before I saw an 'Indroduce Yourself' section... so here it is again! I'm from Vancouver, Canada. Am in the magazine publishing industry, am qualified to be a licensed real estate agent... haven't made the career change yet as I'm not sure it's what I want to do with my life. On to more important things... I'm fascinated by old structures, architecture, especially old homes. I feel that the wise, old eyes of these places have witnessed history enfold around them, and have withstood the test of time. As time passes, many of these places themselves have remained essentially the same (besides their aging), yet the world has changed around them. It's up to us to preserve the history of these places in any way we can.... if at least in our memory. I have NEVER actually UE'd. I have done 'research' (if you want to call it that) online, through archives, libraries, etc.. on whatever 'old mysterious place' I was obsessed with at a given time. I am pretty chicken s*** to UE, I'll be honest. I stumbled across this site numerous times while researching places in my local area. ALWAYS wanted to UE, several times put the idea out amoungst a good friend... never actually did it. Is it wrong to post here in my situation? Any imput? Perhaps through UE I'll build up the courage to do a beginner UE.... I hope.

| | | Hey there. I actually registered on the site late last year but haven't been active. I've been exploring for the last two years and am an artist/fine art photographer and a director of an artist run gallery. Do some art writing as well. wrote an article for the Riverside Quarterly about Urban Exploration. I am also one of the members of DK Photo Group who is having an exhibition for Contact: The Toronto photo festival at the Steam Whistle Brewery Gallery, our opening is May 3rd from 6:00 to 11:00 pm. The title: FORGOTTEN: The Art of Decay. I've done extensive exploration over the last two years mostly in southern Ontario and Western New York and hope to expand those boundaries. Always looking to go to new sites so if you have a location in mind let me know and if I can join you I will, or we can plan something. Cheers.

| | | Hello everyone. I felt the need to introduce myself to you all, so here it is; I live in North Bay (Ontario), I moved here from Orillia where I've had my share of midnight construction site mishaps including, but not limited to, rolling down a hill inside of a cement pipe. I stumbled upon this site by accident ages ago but I didn't join the forum (because at the time, I harboured an unexplained dislike for internet forums). I read through the content and went on my merry way. I eventually forgot that this online community even existed. After much time and many adventures, I heared a short snippet on the radio while I was half asleep and suddenly the Infiltration logo and memories of the site came flooding back to me! It was a miracle! I couldn't wait to get in on the internet action, so here I am.

| | | Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new here and I own http://www.geociti...aschstatehospital/. My site has been around for a few years now and mostly concentrated on hospitals in oregon, but I have images and a painting of an asylum in Cork City Ireland as well as images of the Magdalene Laundry there. I live in New Zealand now and will be living in Wellington. I recently took some neat photos of the abandoned stadium and train station in Auckland, I'm looking forward to finding abandoned sites in my new home. I met someone from here and now am staying indefinitely. I am originally from Portland, Oregon.

| | | Hello. My name is KublaKhan (it's not really KublaKhan) and I just moved into the neighbourhood with my folks and my dog and my shitty stupid little sister and her fucking gerbils and we live in the house on Clutter St. where that fat kid lit the cat on fire that was on the news last week. I really like Urban Exploring cuz I get to put on Daddy's work boots and carry the big flashlight and sneak into places where weird stuff went on like at hotels and places where scabby addicts live and drains where kids go to hide and disappear forever. I've already met a couple of other fellows who like to do this stuff and we made a plan to 'check out' many more places even though we live in a small city but it's an old one and there's a lot of really neat things to do and to see. I hope to 'check out' all of them or at least as many as I can before I die or get caught.

I've always wondered what the hell was inside those buildings haha. Well now I know. Either way, there are a few places I'd like to check out, if any of the guys from the general area would like to meet up and check out. Give me an IM sometime I have it all in the profile.

| | | Hey, Nightskye from Maine here. Like a lot of other people, did UE without knowing what I was actually doing as a kid/teen/college student. Combine that with my fascination for structures with some history and the thrill of being where you're not supposed to...well, here I am. I've been soloing so far, in mills, factories, rail depots, a hydro dam, couple hospitals, and old theater, I think I'm going places where few, if any have been before. Doesn't seem to be much UE activity up here in Maine. I'm mature (32), experienced, and interested in joining up with other UE people and groups. Give me a shout!

| | | Well, hello everyone, my name (explorer alter ego I guess) is Fruitbat. I'm new to this site but kinda old to exploring - reason why I say kinda old is because I'm not really old compared to some of the veterans on this site. I've been an explorer by heart my whole life, but I've only officially been an urban explorer since 2 or 3 years ago, when I found infiltration.org like most people did. I've only just recently found out about the legendary Ninjalicious passing away, so I'm still in one of those "don't really know how to feel, somewhat shaken by it" moods like I was after the death of John Peel. The only way I think I can describe the feeling is if you're blindfolded for a week, and you ritually keep going back to a pillar every day and reach out and grab it, then one day you go back there, attempt to reach for it, and it's just empty space... you swing your arms but it's not there, you feel totally disoriented... it feels odd, for there to be a big empty space, where you're so used to there being something. Anyway, during the time I've been exploring, as you can imagine I've found a huge number of sites in my local area. Some of them are small and insignificant, some of them are big and/or quite impressive. I've yet to find something truly amazing, I mean I get to see some neat stuff thanks to what I do, but I think I can safely say I've yet to see something really really cool. Probably the coolest "typical" exploration I've had so far was an abandoned supermarket, with all it's back rooms, stores, huge walk in freezers, etc. Sadly no pictures of it though, as I currently do not have a camera of my own. I'm interested in a particular Lumix, just need to save my pennies. Uh, I think that's about it... I plan to form an exploring group in my area and set up a website. And, yeah, that is it.
