My two scariest both occurred before I ever heard of "UE'ing"...

I was exploring an abandoned farmhouse on the spur of the moment in the middle of the night, using a disposable camera's flash unit to scope out each room...I flashed the living room to discover it contained a nice, pretty light blue coffin on its stand...took me back for a moment, then I tried to open it...but couldn't...friend of mine told me later the house was supposedly one of several hangouts in the area for "satanists"...which brings me to my second story...

I had visited this other abandoned farmhouse with my friend in the daylight hours...walking around back we discovered a very nicely laid out brick pentagram in the range of about 20' in diameter...we scrammed pretty quick...then another night I decided I'd take pictures of the place...no place to park, so my friend dropped me off on the main road in front of it, and cruised by every so often til I returned...it was a moonlit summer night, and I could see pretty damn well, the house was on top of a slight rise, surrounded by open fields...no trees to speak of. I got about halfway up the drive, and heard this unearthly snort that could have come no more than a few feet from me...shocked me for a second, then I looked around closely for any sort of animal that could make a noise that large...no horse, no bull, no buck...nuthin'...and I could see quite well with the moonlight, and my night vision had settled in...I walked up to the house, snapped a pic and left...that place gave me the worst feeling of anywhere I have ever been...just bad mojo there...couple nights later I had the most vivid nightmare...I stood in the stairwell of that house (circa 1880) and watched a guy climb in the second story window and kill the family inside with an axe in the middle of the night...I mean VIVID...that place freaked me out...it since burned to the ground...

I don't know - that could be blood. The other options are vomit, but if you look at the placement of where the stains are on the bed, my vote is for poop. Probably of the very runny variety. If the man who was once in that bed was very old and sick, he was probably also incontinent.

Phantom - is this "the place" that you had some trouble with?

C.

This is "the place" that gave me issues that seem to be all cleared up. The stain on the bed is definitely poo of some sort...but the hospital pads are now stained black'ish I'm assuming blood. So far I have no further information on the house. This place has no power, no bathrooms...other than a portable toilet that is full of crap...and no furniture upstairs. The only furniture is on the main floor which would consist of a fridge stove, bed, a very old tv and radio and some other various personal effects. definitely one freaky place.

The problem with the world is dumb people. I'm not advocating capital punishment for dumb people. I'm just suggesting we remove all the warning labels and let the problem solve itself.

There is a place like that in Hastings, Ontario... it's about 2 miles from the nearest road back in the forest, it's never had electricity, it's literally filled to the ceiling with garbage, like broken furniture, TVs, etc. There's no indoor plumbing either. I've been in it once, all the upstairs bedroom doors were fastened shut from inside the rooms. The place just gave me a really bad vibe... it's creepy as hell. My exploring friend and I were in there, and all the sudden just decided we needed to leave.

The thing that got my attention was the '69 VW Beetle sitting out front.

I bet you that old person is watching you from inside the wall or something while you're in there.

The Scariest experience I had was in December me, Vividserenity, and Me'rulla decided to go to Broad Acres on the Outskirts of Utica. We got there at like i think maybe 4:30 pm and it was already dark. So we go across the street and start looking around Jensen hall and we only have 2 flashlights for the 3 of us, so periodically we would switch off one of the flashlights to one another. So we went through the basement with no problems and then we headed towards the main hall. It was very very cold in there, but this is because it's middle of winter and all the windows are broken out. So we head down the hall exploring each room. I'm in one of the rooms, Viv is in the hallway outside of the room, and merulla is in the main hallway. So i'm talking then i hear "SHHH" from Viv. I turn around and shes standing there and merulla is outside of the hall with listening. And I hear this tapping on the wall, so i walk out and merulla snaps a picture down the hall. So we're standing there then all of a sudden I feel as though someone is standing within inches from my face and they don't want me here, and I say to them "I feel very............uncomfortable" and before i got to say uncomfortable the feeling went away, and when that feeling went away A giant piece of paintchip fell off the wall almost like someone had knocked it off in a rush. From that point on i was freaked out for the rest of the night.

this is the picture merulla took

yeah besides that the hall was absolutley clear, you could look down and see the windows to the outside on the other hand. The Camera caught something that i dont think we could have seen.

It looks breathy, but I'm pretty sure that it's 10 or more feet away. Normal for breathoquists, but not urbexers.

Trust me, this definitely wasn't steam from anyone’s breath. By the time the vapor from my breath reached that far down the hallway, it would have since dissipated. Besides, how do you explain the obvious irregularities in the “breath cloud?” Plus, the many events leading up to this picture are undeniably fuel for the near-verification of this event.

it definetly wasn't anyones breath, it was too far down the hall, and like merulla said it would have disipated by the time it got there.

if it were breath it would be dragged out from the edging of the picture b/c all three of us were behind the camera

Anyone ever been locked in an abandoned building? Either way this could be a real nasty situation. I thought of this recently when, unprepared and spur of the moment, I decided to explore this run down building in downtown Richmond. This building has a huge metal door in the rear that happened to be open so I entered to find a new unlocked padlock, either way I still decided to check it out. As usual, the place was somewhat trashed. The rear of this building has but one 12" x 12" window on the second floor in a tiny bathroom and two windows on the third, all of which have thick bars in them. The front of the building does have two large windows on 1st floor but they are right against a busy street. Sheer terror overcame me when I heard a loud bang and series of clicks that sounded like the exit door being shut and locked, but to my relief it was just part of the building blowing around in a gust of wind outside. I came to thinking that it would have really sucked to be locked into that place.

You know, I have since made it a habit of looking up abandonments on the haunted sites on google. It seems thats where they find quite a few of their places of "worship". I wont go to anything I find on there unless I look it up here on the DB and see no upside down pentagrams etc.

m.r.makaveli-that is one odd pic unless one of you were smoking!
