^^ Some of those location sites seem to have data from the UER DB pasted into them. Or is it the other way around? *shrugs*.

Yay, lets make all the sites (even the REALLY GOOD ONES) just THAT much easier for EVERYONE to find!

GREAT IDEA RIGHT???

Right?

*facepalm*

Therrin, darling, this is the rookie forum. You know you're supposed to be nice here.

My name is Jim, and i live between the Iowa border and Chicago off i80. I enjoy visiting historic sites, from abandoned buildings to graveyards. I write a food blog, and doing research and writing for that allows me to explore. I am more of a voyeur, i enjoy visiting places, taking pictures and perhaps daydreaming a bit. I enjoy seeing before and after pics of abandoned buildings, etc.. As a younger man i would enter abandoned buildings, barns, farmhouses i came across, nowdays i dont go in, i have a family, and dont want to get hurt/busted. I do take some exterior pictures from private property, but i try to be as respectfull as i can and quick about it.

I have enjoyed looking around the site the past few days, and hope i can contribute something.

Hey. My name is Mike. I live in the metro Detroit area, so I guess that means I live in the Malibu of urban decay. I recently took a photography workshop entitled Urban Decay and we went into some long-abandoned buildings. That ignited a passion I did not know was there, and since then I have been reading and researching all I can to get up to speed on this 'sport.'

I have been inspired by the photographic work done here in Detroit, and I want to witness these marvels myself before it is too late (buildings getting demolished or refurbed).

I hope to meet some like-minded people and learn from them and eventually be able to teach other noobs.

I have long been interested in history and architecture, so UE is a natural event for me. I have done a little exploring on my own, so I am hoping to learn all I can.

,I'm Hiero, Im from Orange county California. Been into urban exploration for as long as I can remember. Got interested in storm drain and underground exploration after reading about it on action squad's website. Mostly I've explored vacant buildings and I've explored one storm drain. Since I'm still a senior in high school, I don't get to devote nearly enough time to UE as I'd like and I'm also limited in where I can go (safely) as I don't know anyone who would be willing to go into a old building or crawl through a storm drain. So if anyone from California wants to go do some UE let me know!

Hey all. I'm a freelance portrait photographer in Colorado (south of Denver) and UE is pretty new to me. Not new as in seeing it, but just new as in a new venture for me. Another board member and friend (Tallulah) got really caught up in it on the East Coast and gave me a crash course last weekend when she came to visit. I run a studio so this will definitely be my "free time" side thing but I'm really enjoying it already. Thanks to those of you who helped out with my first few successes by what you posted here!

Hi everyone! I'm Daniel from Seattle and have recently started UE'ing. I've always had an interest in modern day military fortifications and especially abandon mines; But, have had a hard time finding someone willing to go with me.

Sincerly,

(p.s. does exploring construction sites count as UE?)

Wow it's been a year since I joined... I think.

Hi. I'm Jason.

In any case, I'm not new, I know the UE ropes but where I am now I have no roots and none of the people I am in touch with who used to go urbexing with me are available any more. Geography and growing up will do that to friends.

My lat/long marker is a pretty rough guesstimate for where I am, which is NorCal BUT I am willing to drive several hours to explore new spots. My knowledge of NorCal is fairly extensive, with an emphasis on the Bay. I've been doing the urbex thing since I was a wee lad and still dream about underground passages regularly.

It's hard to turn to the internet for fellow urbexers after having done it with people I've known all my life but what choice do I have? This is my passion. Photography runs a close second, but I'm too cheap for a better camera.

If anyone has an event even remotely near California, hit me up.

I'm also an avid outdoor adventurer and love hiking and trail runs.

Hope to make contact soon!

You're all going to become trapped in abandoned structures till the mice are gnawing on you and you're wishing for death.

Stay out, stay alive.

If that were the case I would have died years ago.

Hey guys,
Ive been a member of this site for a long time, and read hundreds of posts im sure (no life). Ive gotten more and more into urban exploring in the last two years and have been to my fair share of locations in Maryland. I think its about time i actually become part of the community and start to post in the forums as well.

Hello world.

New to the site and located in Seattle.

I found UER by chance while on a visit back home to Cincinnati. Used to it to find some great explorations while here (Hopple Tunnel, Research Division building and a few others). I go exploring every other month or so and would love to pair up with some other Seattle folks!

Looking forward to sharing my finds.

Hey everyone, I go by the name Siphran, you can call me Siph or anything else for that matter. Im relatively new to the UE scene, though ive always had wanderlust and an intense curiosity for what lay behind the "No Trespassing" Sign.

I do a bit of freerunning, and I do love rooftops, though the confines of a drain is just as exciting. Im currently in CenCal, the Fresno area. The only other person that I know of in Fresno that does urbexing is my best friend. So I cant wait to meet some more urbexers.

Hey fellow explorers,

I'm Rhino604, from Vancouver BC (Currently residing in Surrey BC).

Some places I've explored include abandoned houses and institutions, old rail bridges and tunnels, and my favorite, large underground pipes!

I have yet to explore any sanitary sewer systems since I don't have a gas detector or SCBA setup yet, but I've dome some recon and found many significant pipe networks under Vancouver and surrounding towns, so I'm eager to get in there once I have the protective equipment.

I'd also like to learn some rope rescue skills and start exploring some decommissioned mine sites.

If you ever want to go on a mission I know of several low risk sites around town I can show you so feel free so hit me up.
