Its from Nicaragua. I went with The Giving Lens to go teach impoverished children how to take photos. I'm probably not the best person to be teaching photography to anyone, but it was a great experience, nonetheless.

that's fucking amazing! it's incredible where this activity can take one if one really invests the time & energy. your photography skills just keep improving thanks for sharing.

yesterday's two attempted explores were thwarted by a regional festival & an unexpected demolition. so we did some scouting & a lil birdwatching.

I bet it was lovely. My good friend just spent six weeks in a village near Esteli and she wants to move there NOW. Though for me I think I'd probably go crazy from the lack of books to read and shoddy internet connection. It must have been nice to escape for a while, siper. I didn't even know that photography-centered charities existed.

It was definitely a nice escape. The Giving Lens is actually the first organization of its kind. You should check out some of the workshops they have planned.

After days of attempting to get "good" photos of the amazing America's Cup Series 1 races I think today's work is finally starting to pull together...
