..so we visited the largest pinhole viewer we could think of!

no doubt! we didn't want to take them away or move them to a different area b/c we thought the parents might reject them if they have human scent on them. this was the first time we had ever stumbled upon a nest like this. the nest was actually under a bunch of tarps that were taking down for erosion control and there was no way we could have left them exposed bc of the hawks and blackbirds that I know live nearby.

Wildlife is definitely the hardest thing to capture correctly.Nice. Looks like you made the most of the Alaska trip.
