Melissa Pemberton and her Edge 540 after an amazing acrobatic display.

You know how I feel about this level of HDR so no need to go there anymore. Basically I guess I just wanted to say great photo man. I think you are the most active shooter in social. At least one that is proving it on the forums. If it were me, though, I'd chop a little off the top. Give it a haircut. I feel there is a little too much negative space above unbalancing the image.

I only critic people I really actively and passionately see shooting so don't take my responses harshly. Cheers!

Thanks Rob, and no worries I take criticism for what it is, usually you can take something good away from it and its done in good intentions. Theres a difference between criticism and attacking lol and a lot of people take it personal. I have actually done most these photos in both standard editing and HDR, then I lean towards the HDR. Reason being, I am drawn to the more of an art look than the really bright clear photos. On some photos it works really well, and other not so much. What I do avoid is the over bearing make your eyes bleed HDR (I hope at least). On my facebook if you notice the sets I uploaded today from shooting at LAX there is 0 HDR, I tried one and it didnt feel right.

@Plexi... This was this last weekend at El Toro down in Irvine. Up in the bay you guys have a lot of shows between there and Sac. Fleet week is coming in October, so I will be up at the bay shooting that. If you have never seen an air show then I advice planning on spending some time down by the Golden Gate and the warf during fleet week. You'll be blown away!

I was gonna buy tickets a couple days before but then I saw it had been pulled from the events and I cancelled my plans.

I was bored so ventured to my lighthouse again - this time I was greeted by a nice container ship =] After taking this shot I ran to the lighthouse and walked along this little ledge to the back of lighthouse, where I had a front row view - awesome experience being that close.

Here's another one from there. Its a couple years old. Someone was scrapping a loader (notice the socket set).

I was tempted (they were American tools) but I have plenty of tools and don't need it on my conscience.

Plus "Take only pictures, and scrappers tools, and leave only footprints" just doesn't sound as snazzy....
