BUT, in all of my life experience and stories I've heard from my friends and family, if they've gotten rear-ended, it was done by a women. And the same for people doing the read-ending, I don't know any males that have rear-ended someone else.

I guess It's just a big coincidence in my case and the stats are really split 50/50 M/W on people who read-ended someone else?

Same reason when I worked on cars I had to put brakes on womens cars TWICE as often as mens. They go full speed to the stop sign and stop short. I dunno why. Maybe its a distance judgement thing?

Women drivers are horrible, because they dont take pride in piloting a machine like men do. Men like machines, women like to socialize. Thats why more men are mechanics, and more women secretaries.

Funny you should mention that.

Both times I got rear ended by male drivers. First one cursed me out for stopping and not having the courtesy of running over a couple of pedestrians so he would have extra stopping distance. I made it very clear to him what I thought of him.

The second one apologized after I suggested he spend a bit more time watching what's ahead of him and not adjusting his radio.

However, when my wife got rear ended, it was by a female driver.

Go figure...

Also, the only time I rear ended someone, I was a guy.

It was a parked car, on a corner, 3 feet away from the curb, and the sun was in my eyes, so technically, not my fault.

It ended up costing me $70 to fix the guy's taillight, never reported it or anything, just said hey, get the part, show me a receipt and I'll pay for it. Then me and guy installed it ourselves and probably saved me 100 bucks.

Why is it when people point out a trend or universal truth (that there are always exceptions to) they are sexist or racist or (insert any others ist you would like). Men tend to understand machines better which may lead to many people believing they drive better than women. Asians are usually better than other racist at math. Sure there are female race car drivers and mechanics. I'm sure there are asians who suck at math. But the overall trend points the other way. Sorry but sometimes the facts are just that, facts lol. (Btw I'm sure I am now a sexist/racist/many other ist. Please be assured I believe anyone of any race/sex/age/whatever can achieve any goal they wish. Doesn't mean they will tho, or have it as easy as another race/sex/age. )

I agree with jeepdave. I'm a woman and I'll be the first to admit our sex is full of horrible drivers. HORRIBLE. I don't know how it is in other areas, but here 99.99 times out of 100 whenever you see a woman behind the wheel, she's on the fucking phone. This observation does not make me sexist.

I somewhat see it that way too. To a man seeing another man weaving in and out of traffic 20 MPH over the limit while still being safe and not screwing anyone over, my hat's off to him. Nice work. To a woman, she may see the act as reckless and shitty driving.
