Pic #2: This building replaced the DND facility that was at Fort Hugonin. They only own the fenced off area, everything else is public property. Hopefully I can get up there this weekend, given it doesn't snow.

Yeah, the fenced in area looked like DND property while Connaught Battery and the field area beside it look like its owned/maintained by HRM.

The fenced DND facility is definitely off-limits. If you go in there, you'll get in trouble. Everything else is wide open. There are no hazards unless you fall on the rocks while checking out the tunnel hatches.

Did you find any possible tunnel access points?

Shitty, but that third pic looks like a chimney of some sort...if the weather's good tomorrow, I'm gonna go up in the afternoon, after I retake pics of Devil's Battery.

Too many cops know people go down there. Besides, Shannon Park is kind of old news now.

I snapped a few pictures of a part of York Redoubt I had never seen before April 14th.... I resized them all and then work called and I've gotta leave ASAP to be in early.. I'll upload later so you can all say "How did you miss that, man?!?"

I actually missed this spot too, Nootz showed me it a while back. It is somewhat hard to come by.

|
And the only reason I found it is because I parked down by that church one day and had to jump the fence because they closed the main gate at six. I saw that little guard shack (or whatever it was for) and decided to investigate.

Why is that room maintained like that with a new door?? It's just an empty, underground room as far as I could tell.

If I had to guess, they probably used it for storage at one point. Either that or to keep nosy people like us out, lol.

Hello all ... I've been reading these threads, for what feels like weeks, just to be able to post. I've recently taken a huge interest in urban exploration, and living in Halifax we have what feels like endless places to explore. I'm from the Annapolis Valley, and there's tons of places (once I've earned to access) I'd love to add to the UE DB. A week ago I went to PPP armed with a camera and was able to get pictures of everything except for the Cambridge Battery. The pictures I am most found of are of the insides of Fort Olgilvie. YES ... INSIDE. I saw a rusted away corner at the bottom of the door and stuck my camera as far inside as I could.
What do you think? I like them a bunch.
