| | | By better of course we mean most dilapidated. Just for fun post your ramshackle shanties, deteriorated duplexes, collapsed cottages or falling down farm houses etc. here in this thread and we will conduct a separate poll thread sometime in December before Christmas to pick the best in class! CONTEST RULES: 1. you may enter as often as you like, limit one subject per entry 2. in the interest of space, no more than 6 images per each entry 3. subject must be (or have been) a residential dwelling, house, shack, etc. 4. entries must include both interior and exterior images (sorry no drive-bys) 5. you may already be a winner, Ok to recycle but images must be yours Whats the winner get? We'll decide that later maybe just the distinction of being named the Shanty King or Queen 2007. [last edit 11/18/2007 5:44 AM by Explorer Zero - edited 1 times]

| | | I dunno, so far 2x: yours looks halfway livable (complete with bedding) although decrepit and overgrown (im sure you have some more in your back pocket that you are saving for the final battle), Mayhem: cool spot but even more liveable. Musket: Wow what can I say except that place is on its last legs. So as of now my vote has to go to Musket Boy. I enjoy the stacked brick decor in the front yard. OK 2X what do you have now?

| | | Looks like I'm heading back to my home town to get some pics for this contest. Its funny but the first place I ever explored is also the coolest farm house I ever saw.
We are going to inherit the earth . There is not the slightest doubt about that. The bourgeoisie may blast and burn its own world before it finally leaves the stage of history. We Are not afraid of ruins. We who ploughed the prairies and built the cities can build again, only better next time. We carry a new world, here in our hearts. That world is growing this minute. |

| | | These are all nice. I like the ones that look like a family just walked away, so I'm really loving the ones posted by u25680. The bathtub in musket boy's post is great, too. My grandmother had an ancient house with one of those old clawfoot tubs. When she sold it to the family who turned it into a bed & breakfast, they THREW THE TUB OUT! I wish I had known. I'd have appropriated it from the trash pile.
