| | | One thing that these designs need is better organization for the menu items on the left. People shouldn't have to read through an entire list to have to find what they want. The existing layout uses different colours and spacing to help keep things organized. Try introducing that sort of thing in your concepts.

| | | Hell Tap, particular are we? Seriously though, why would you have all the garbage buttons on the left? All that does is take up screen space! The top buttons in Ex H's model are the ones that get used.
I got your tour winner right here pussies, at least he'd crash out trying. |

| | | That looks better, though the gigantic logo's a bit much. Buttons that probably don't get used very often which can probably be put somewhere else or removed altogether: About, Links, Online (who cares?), Donate, User Search (pretty useless), MySites (is anyone using this?).

| | | Please feel free to regroup the buttons if you think it makes more sense. The current grouping you see on the left doesn't necessarily make sense. -av

Donate definetely needs to be prominent. It's what keeps this site going. I use "User Search" about 50 times a day. It should be in the same place a search. I think that "MySites" and "Journals" can both be moved into a submenu or something. -av

| | | I figured as much on the buttons. I think at this point, however, an initial look needs to be decided upon. Buttons are easily deleted, moved, etc, once the basic look is finalized. As for any of the versions I have shown so far, any elements from each one can be combined easily. The main document I am working from is a hi-res layered photoshop file. | | | I still think the new layout should have some sort of a "style" that defines it -- this one has the hexagons; I know these aren't that popular but nevertheless if you saw blue and grey hexegons, it said "UER".
Some sort of simple shape or something? Maybe not? I don't know. This is why I'm not a designer. -av

| | | I use the user search all the time. Also personally i dont like the idea of the "Your Stuff" buttons being on top. maybe the UE DB, events, mysites, and all that good shit. [last edit 6/20/2006 1:25 AM by Jef - edited 1 times]

Lookin' real good!!! I don't like the green colors as much but that's being petty. I was curious what program you were using to create this. I don't have a creative bone in my body otherwise I'd try coming up with a concept.

A different subject, but maybe we can have something that randomly incorporates images of monkeys or dead cats or gun clips right into pictures. You know, for the kids!
