First off, thank you guys for the warm welcome
also thx dundertits for properly sharing the imgur link, I think I finally figured it out this time around.
Anyways, I took another trip to the factory. Of course i've gotta tell some stories, but here's the pics first.
https://imgur.com/a/8WhGzfj I went with 3 friends including the same buddy I went with last time. The other two guys were less than cautious (they're a little younger than my friend I initially explored with and I) this definitely made my cortisol levels go through the roof but we were fine and we made sure they didn't mess anything up. This time we were able to explore pretty much the whole factory.
Highlights:
1. As we were checking out a building that definitely showed signs of use (equipment, company shirts etc) we hear a siren that sounds exactly like an air raid/nuclear siren from the movies. It's insanely loud and we assumed it was because we were there. I don't think i've ever ran so fast in my life, but we ended up hiding on the top floor of one of those dome-ish buildings for about 30 minutes. We brought radios to go full LARP and when we reached the top one of our radios went off and we heard a female voice say "Hello?", which scared the shit out of us further so we turned them off. We were able to determine that the siren wasn't coming directly from the factory but it definitely gave us a good scare.
2. We were able to get on the roof of the main building (see pic 2) and had snacks and drinks up there, very comfy
. In order to get on I had to push a pretty heavy metal slab off of the ladder hatch whilst a good ways up from the ground though, which was a little spooky.
3. After checking out every unlocked room in the old factory buildings, we headed over to another building which we assumed to be in use. We got a good look around some offices and loading bays, but we decided to leave the building because we could hear a truck running outside. I definitely plan on going back though. I'd eventually like to climb the smoke stacks, I haven't yet due to high visibility but maybe i'll give it a shot sometime when its dark.
