| | | Posted by Radio2600 This has been the case for some time. There was a scandal of sorts that profile pictures were showing up in ads.... If you have the privacy level set fairly tight, they can't (according to them) use the picture. However, cover and profile pictures are always public.
| Yes, i vaguely recall this happening several years ago. More to point, Facebook has a lousy privacy track record. Its been worse, or maybe just more public, recently. Their track record is one of the reasons i really don't use Facebook much, and dont use Instagram at all. I'm merely pointing out that when you use FB/IG, you should be aware of their licensing with regards to uploaded images ("what is yours, is mine", so to speak). Posted by rob.i.am Apparently I'm no longer a prime member and my 147 GB of photos is a bit over their 5 GB limit | I thought Prime came with unlimited photo storage...? Posted by Fleeting MySpace
| Will see if it makes it through the recent purchase from the Koch Bros. to Marc Benioff (CEO, Salesforce). Overall, the options kinda look like this to me: * Another photo sharing site [500px, smugmug, or back to flickr] * cloud storage service [google, amazon, dropbox] * roll-your-own personal cloud storage apps [NextCloud, Owncloud, GlusterFS] I'm really just leaning towards re-signing with Flickr, since its the lowest effort at the moment. Building out my personal cloud would require time/effort that I don't have right now. That might change in a year or two though. Will see.
