| | | For fun and adventures that creates unforgettable memories. For re-shaping reality. For friendship. For excitement. For not giving a fuck about tomorrow. For reasonable going abroad. For photos that only remains after some places completely vanish. For calmness. For sounds, smells and ambience. For being "girl with that exciting hobby" so most of guys can't make my heart to tremble than exploring. For being understood. For not being sad about lack of money when it goes for planning holidays. For getting high without drugs. And so on.

Coming to a drain near you!
| | Re: Why do you urban explore? <Reply # 24 on 12/8/2013 3:38 AM >
| | | I found myself loving the exploration of the path-less-traveled. I always found it very cool to lay eyes upon a place that has been vacant of any human save for the ones such as ourselves. The places forever forgotten or taken for granted are always fascinating. Or the infrastructure such as drains, the places not even known about by most "surface-dwellers". The history that goes into the old abandoned mine in the desolate mountains or the drain underneath the busiest streets is a story often not told, and I am the one who ends up seeking, listening to these stories. It's always quite so fascinating.

| | | It gets me out of the house without having to be around people. Plus, I get to look at things and think about what it looked like new, populated, or maintained. It's fun to think about.

| | | For me it all started with this weird visual attraction to decay of man-made structures and structures combined with wild nature, which I had from a very young age. That is still the main reason but now I also love to learn about the history of places, and the whole cat and mouse game is a lot of fun too (hated that before). It's awesome to be able to do something illegal while you know it doesn't do any harm.

| | | I like seeing what places look like when they're abandoned. It's interesting to see how nature has made a comeback and what people left behind when they abandoned it. It also makes for some cool photography.

| | | On course, i wanna see what's behins thoses doors that used to be locked. I enjoy seeing unusual random places that not much peoples see then. And the explorative side is like going on a treasur hunt when i was kid. But... deep inside... Most of the time, i feel like i barely exist, doing the same thing everyday, for the same reason, the same peoples, same result... each day is the previous one recycled again and i try not to sleepwalk too much through it. When i set my first foot inside a location... everything change, adrenalin get in, all my senses are in alert, I dont see, I look, I dont hear, I listen, I feel the present moment one second at the time, I'm 100% "there". I feel a lot more alive than walking from the usual "point A" to "point B" I dont think i could ever stop...

| | | Part of it for me is seeing something completely falling apart and thinking that people once worked here and were proud to, or that a family once lived here, had birthdays and Christmases and it was their home not a pile of beyond repair scrap wood. Even when it comes to an old car, thinking that someone once bought this brand new and were so excited about it and showed it off and now nobody does. Every time I am exploring I look around and can almost see what was there, the heart of it, the way it was before something happened and just like that it was forgotten. Reading this back it sounds kinda depressing, but I don't mean it to be, visiting these places, learning the history, imagining how it was to me gives them a little bit of life back where everyone else just sees an eyesore. Plus it so so much fun and such a rush being where you are not supposed to be Wooo Monday morning ramble....

I don't find anything destructive with it. Well, I find it to be a therapy all in it's own, the abandoned places and the solitude of it.
