| | Input on my photos... < on 12/17/2012 4:55 AM >
| | | I am curious to see what suggestions you friendly folks can offer on my photography. I took all of these with a Kodak C195 easyshare point and shoot, so I do struggle with lighting at night and inside, and some of these were taken in pitch black lighting, but maglights can do wonders..... 1. the wanderer
2. security ( all of the light is being created from 2 maglights that my cousin is holding )
3. Silos
4. Firetower
5. Gauge (for what? I dont know)

| | | First and foremost, never use the UER uploader. It butchers the sharpness, lines, color, and lighting. You'll notice on some of them the lines look more like zippers...that's the UER uploader. Flickr is best but even photobucket is a big step up.
Other than that, I enjoy them. I would straighten 1. 2 is noisy, but that's what happens in low light sometimes. Not always alot you can do for it every time. 3 is grand. But experiment with your point of view, always take a few shots to see what works best. This is great, but who knows what other points of footing could have helped? I like the angle on 4. But check out what the uploader did -_- Last one is just good.

| | | Last one is your best in my opinion, keep shooting and improvements will be obtained with practice.

| | | 1. shit. 2. shit. 3. AWESOME! 4. darker than it needs to be; reduce contrast and it will look way better. 4. Needs context to mean anything. A good shot, but isn't done justice the way you presented it. [last edit 12/24/2012 12:48 PM by SalamiAvenger - edited 1 times]

| | | 1. I would crop off the top 20 percent. 2. Absolutely nothing to see here. 3. Excellent. I'd put that on my wall. 4. Nothing terribly special though I see what you're going for. 5. Like it a lot. I don't think you need more context. But it has been done a lot.

I didn't even see that. Yeah, that's a biggie. I think I subconsciously saw it as a border. But I can't stand when I miss so much as a few pixels.

| | | I am an amateur myself, so take all my suggestions with a grain of salt. 1. I like where this is going, though seems a bit too much dark. 2. Interesting subject but maybe try a different point of view. Also too dark. 3. Awesome, I love it the way it is. 4. On the fence with this one, maybe try a couple other points of view? 5. I like it, though I would definitely play with cropping it.

| | | I did take the advice on the reorienting of 1, It did do wonders for the photograph, I may try lightening it up as well.

| | | I don't know that it needs to be lightened... it has a nice noir look as is.

| | | On #1, cropping out all the extraneous lights on the right side of the photo may be a good idea. It seems to me like they do more harm than good to the composition.
Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing. |

Awesome, I'd love to see it! However, please don't lighten it! I love the Gotham City mood of this shot.
