Anyone who has been there at all will probably agree that it's quite depressing. In Bombay Beach for example, (where there's no beach) about one in four houses are abandoned. As you would expect, the history is much more interesting than the actual place.

And I'm sure this is it's 1 millionth post. -do I get a prize?

I've always wanted to go to the Salton Sea. I tried to mae some non-UE friends take me there and they just couldn't understand my fascination with it at all. And yeah, I imagine the history is more interesting than the reality probably, but I still want to see it for myself. Great pics! Where'd the shot with all the dead fish in it come from? Is that yours too?

I really hate the Salton Stink.

I know there's beauty in abandoned stuff, but there ain't no beauty in fish bones and rotting aroma. It's nice to see pics from you guys, but I have no desire to go back.
