| | | So I went out during a road trip to Oklahoma. completely unprepared and didnt even bring flashlights. This is my first rodeo, got laid off and well got more time on my hands.I imagine I'm older than most on this site, if not all, but between work and a family I never really got to do any of this. A few pics

| | | For the record, thanks to this site, I found a lot that I missed and even some stuff on the east complex area. Mostly the linear accelerator area (south of main campus) I completely missed out on. Going up Wednesday for more pics. Got a couple of friends going with (kind of a long drive) so I should have some more pics.

| | | Heres the good part the linear accelerator site. Ive never seen this area before, maybe yall already got pics I haven't seen but looks like I need to go back with waders. Couldnt get into the main building but what a find. The mound runs parallel to the building. then, There is a door in the cement stairs leading underground. Damn I wish I had brought some waders. Also found a couple of other places to checkout, but since others went one needed to head back to houston. More pics to come on a better camera

| | | All I can tell you is the door that is in 4 feet of water lead to the inside of the long dirt mound I took pics of. You be the start of the tunnels, maybe not.

I think it looks like you need to go back with scuba gear, or maybe a small submarine... Very interesting place!

Nice set! Everyone pretty much figures that the tunnels are completely flooded with ground water now but it would still be pretty cool to see what's down there.

Great work backslider. Thanks for sharing. Were you not able to get inside? Are those stairs on the outside somewhere, they look indoor.

Holy crap! Is that still there? Looks like it is hidden by a tree line. Can one get inside that thing? Wonder what it is or what it was for.

| | | 2x, Yeah I guess I thought that pic of the cylinderical structure you posted was still standing. Maypearl, no as 2x clarified its gone. On the pics I posted you asked if I got in, not really. The building itself was well secured. The opening for the stairs is outside and yes I got in there but the next door inside was in 4 feet of stagnet water. I'm going back (yet again) this weekend to do a final trip to this area, maybe next week. There is one building at the mag lab I haven't been able to get into so my plans are getting into said buildings and doing a bit of wading to see what's behind half submerged door. One observation, I noted the only two decently built roads in this town(not that I've seen the entire town) both had to do with the SCC facility. The East campus road and the road on the west side were very well built and of different material than the rest of this town. I kinda didn't want to post all this, seems everytime someone brings up this place its like beating a dead horse, so to the ones that's been there done that, I apologize, but I'm still very excited over going here. My next trip should be my last (gas is killing me) to this place, but honestly I've lurked here for years and it was Revs photos I stumbled across a long time ago that has me still coming back for more. Also seeing that I've missed a lot of other places (lone star brewery) by waiting too long I feel I need to get a look at a bunch of other places before their time runs out.
