UE Traditions

So I searched all kinds of words like "traditions" & "habits" & I didn't spot a thread like this yet, so hopefully I'm not mistaken. Does anyone have any habits or traditions that they do every time they explore a site?

Mine is kinda girly. Everyplace new I go I tie a strand of pink ribbon on a main door knob as a symbol that I was there. It's a way to leave my mark without damaging anything.

Anyone else? Pictures are even better.

We shall not cease from exploration, & the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started & know the place for the 1st time.

I wore a certain pair of pants to my first meetup, and they got a few holes ripped in them. Next time I went out with a group, I wore the same pants, and sure enough, new rip. They're small enough where it's not terrible-looking and I wash them right after I come home, so hey, I can have exploring pants I guess.

Ghost,Unregistered, birdman and myself like to listen to dubstep on our way to any location. then get whataburger before we go into (always on a full stomach) a place. and then we listen to nemesis on the way back. works everytime.

as for what we do when we are there. ummmm hmmm.....

Whenever possible, we stop by the Taco Bell on Franklin & Hiawatha afterwards. We generally keep our rubber boots/wader, headlamps, ect on. It's always pretty dirty in there already.

At a meetup kickoff, flashlights go on the table so people can find the explorers.

I wore the same belt every time until the belt died. Now I have a similar one.

There aren't enough people here to start real traditions like y'all've got

You should probably go to Taco Bell first... That way when it hits you, you can cut out the middle man... The toilet.

I personally like to go to places and find the scariest/darkest/most evil/creepy looking corner, hallway, room, tunnel, etc. and draw satanic markings/pentagrams allll over. then spill blood all over the place and leave bones and carcasses of animals (generally bought on wholesale at sams) with candles and a pile of ashes. then claw marks everywhere.

tends to freak the next batch of UE kids who come along.

every now and then i accidentally summon the devil or a demon or a mudkip.

ehh shit happens

I guess my "tradition" is to charge all my flashlight batteries and stitch up any new holes in my clothes before going out.

My tradition has always been the charging of batteries and the ensuing rushed packing off all gear the night before, at the last minute, with very little sleep afterward.

Oh, and I listen to the Deftones in the car on the way.

When we explore a location and make it out successfully we typically give everyone a firm handshake whilst bellowing "EXCELLENT JOB GENTLEMEN" in our version of manly victorian accents.

It all stemmed from this one time that we explored while wearing steampunk costumes...
