| | | Well, it's been brought up so i figured we could make it official. I am going to plan an event to explore one of the Titan II silo's in southern Arizona. I am posting this thread to see exactly how many people would be interested before actually setting up an event page. I have secured a site that can easily accommodate a group and I'm thinking we could start the day by touring the missile museum that is located in Tucson. If that all sounds like a good time then post if your interested and also indicate which weekend in June would be best for you.

| | | If there's some CO people roadtripping out I could possibly swing it. The weekend of the 14th/15th would be best for me, but the previous weekend would work too.

Tourism, human circulation considered as consumption is fundamentally nothing more than the leisure of going to see what has become banal. |

| | | Sweet, there is enough interest already for me to set up an event. It only takes 5 minutes anyways. Hopefully the 27th will work for you guys that want to come. http://www.uer.ca/...nt.asp?eventid=410

Yea, I just used google maps to calculate drive time so I am sure it will be a shorter drive than what is listed. We're looking at about 30 miles from downtown Tucson. I would get a hotel in north Tucson, there is a bunch of stuff right off I-10 on Cortaro rd. I was going to try and incorporate the Missile museum in the plans but it's 60+ miles from the location and I think that would be a lot of driving for one day.

| | | I'm flying into Tucson on June 19th, then going down to Mexico for 6 days and I'll be back up after that for a couple days, including the 27th. I'm stoked to be back in the desert again, its been a couple of years. Super stoked to see that silo.
