And for the topic... Not many gangs that I know of hang out in abandonments. If they're real gangs, they're probably in their mommy's garage smoking crack or preying on disabled people.
I haven't run into anyone scary in an abandonment, but I have had trouble with gangs. You know, if you beat the f_ck out of one of them in a 1-on-1 fight, the rest of them are gonna come after you with at least 6-to-1 odds.
IF you come across some "tough guys" in an abandonment, hope that you outnumber them, or "out gun" them. Bring one of these:
