It's probably the same tunnel system. When you say "used to", I assume you mean it doesn't lead to the tunnels anymore...if they still do, is there any way to get access??

Hmm, I was in the basement level of the Halifax Club just a short time ago, and I don't remember seeing anything like that. Then again, I was only there to visit the washroom, and there were a number of doors down there as I recall.

Nice building though...doubt I'll ever get to go back in there again

it apparently still has tunnels but the door is sealed...apparently it's fairly well hidden and not easy to find.

Sounds like an adventure to me. I've been looking for ways to get into the tunnels. And the only ways I've managed to come up with are (1) Somehow getting to George's Island and accessing them that way; & (2) Ask someone at Citadel Hill to give me a tour of them (If anyone knows where the tunnel from the hill is).

You can be darned sure that since Citadel Hill is open to the public, any entrances from the hill have been long sealed, if not even filled in...

As for getting in via the Halifax Club... that place is pretty classy...

Well, there's still my other option, trying to get over to George's Island and snoop around over there.

Trying to sneak around Magazine Hill is a very bad idea!

I have heard that there were tunnels under the QE2 High School though, they sealed them up after the students found ways in. If it's true than it would be great to find them before they tear the place down.

I'm not sure, but they have finished or are close to finishing Citadel High School so the old one will probably get torn down soon. Mind you they may wait untill the end of the school year to do that because it would mean transferring many things (students, files, etc.) so it would make more sense to have the move after everyone has left.

But this is Halifax after all, so the bureaucrats here are one thing that no one can understand.

true enough, but on the other hand, the demo could take place in the spring when all the snow is gone (if we get snow)

No, that small top vent is still open, but a guy at work told me that the main entrance to the building was open, and it's not.
