Malls are absolutely boring for exploration, but if memory serves, the off limits areas are great for teenage sex

The mall I mentioned earlier has a door on with the words "Sex Room" drawn on it in permanent marker. It's not just any room- for some reason or another (yet unsolved as the door is always locked when I check it) the inside is bathed in a kinky blue light.

I'm also seen some interesting graf related to sexual encounters in another off-limits area of the mall, namely "Mike L, if you ever take her down here again, I'll kill you" or something to that effect.

Finally, there's a tiger-patterned blanket laid out in a third area that one can obviously deduce the purpose of.

What is wrong with a team? It's a group of people who have similar interests and are willing to work together. Well, atleast my team is that.

Bringing exploration to Clarksville.

Teams are fine. Just not on an active site. One or two people getting lost in believable and easy to be covert. Think about active sites, do you see groups of 5+ people creeping around?

PLUS the larger the team the greater the chances of someone getting caught, someone talking, or not being able to get away.

"Team" somehow implies Tom Clancy's Splinter cell.
I see your point now.
But still sounds completely retarded; half these places are wide open.
Group? But even that sounds dumb. I guess there is no good term for it.

I think I'd just set up a lawn chair outside and watch you and your "team" make jackasses out of yourselves trying to get into a FUCKING MALL. Here's a tip...most malls have hours of approximately 10 am to 10 pm. During these times, you can get inside and see everything you would see otherwise and more since you know, stores will be open. Not only that, but you have entertaining old people all around if you go early in the morning. I guess if you really want to feel badass you could dress as a ninja when you did your "exploring".
Did that, got banned for 2 weeeks, nearly arrested...didnt help that my friend brought allong plastic swords .

I usually just say "some friends and I" because really, that's pretty much what it boils down to.

When I think team, I think of a group of people that can work together and trust one another to be there for each other. That's what my *team* is.

If the team is just a group of people walking around together, then you're right. But there are places there is no *getting lost* and being able to cover up regardless. When I've climbed a razorwire topped fence to get into a compound, and climbed in to a place through a second story window, it's pretty tough to say " oops, I got lost and accidentally wandered in...". I just stick with the not being seen or caught plan even if it's an ultra tight situation like Shaughnessy hospital.

No, you don't... if they know what they're doing. I have routinely led groups of 5 into very secure places, and not once been caught. Riverview for example, has 24hr security, with at least 90% active property (the building I go to being under constant patrol). I've taken various people there in groups and not been seen. But we do things with some intelligance and care...

Some places, a *team* actually reduces your chances of getting caught. Riverview and other places like St.Mary's are easier with a *team* if the team is all on the same page. Without lookouts in various places, and two way radios, we would not have gotten in while the places had 24 hour guards patrolling (st.mary's security eased up when demo/salvage was happening though). The benefits of having multiple sets of eyes and ears speard out are huge.

But if the *team* is a bunch of people just wandering aimlessly, then you best not be taking them anywhere active/secure.

While you're 100% correct I would rather talk someone out of doing it than into doing it. Especially if that person is a 15 year old obviously new explorer (not that there's anything wrong with that). If they're asking in the first place (no offense) they probably don't have the obvious skill set that you or other more advanced explorers have. A well orchestrated team like you obviously have is very capable of doing just about anything. But as I'm sure you know you and your team are the exceptions.

Interesting idea. However, most larger malls will have motion sensors and or roaming security guards.

Like I said, not one of the world's biggest malls. At one time it was the biggest. It might still be. And I'm guessing that if that one doesn't have motion sensors and hyper-attentive security, neither will smaller ones. However, I have heard the Mall of Minnesota is pretty secure.

Correction. 'Mall of America.' It's just in Minnesota. And they do have police officers roaming the public areas after 5 oclock, but I think some of tha back areas might be easier.

Right, Mall of America. Duh.

The public areas are of very little use to me, so I wouldn't be too concerned about those patrols ;) But I thought someone had mentioned that they do do patrols in the back areas.

Weird that two Triple Five projects would differ so greatly in security arrangements...

Maybe there is a use for that mall after all. I'll have to test the private area security.

I dunno, being able to go on the log flume while shopping for a new pair of shoes is pretty cool

The only really interesting part of a mall is the roof.
That's generally pretty fucking cool.

Yep. Been on Johnson City's Mall roof lots of times. Throwing stuff at people walking around outside is always fun.

I love Christmas on UER.
