The thing is...the outside of my pants did not look dirty. My legs were black and my jeans were just dirty from em climbing on shit.

Same here. You couldn't see it on my jeans either. But it came off pretty easily with soap and water, thankfully!!! We're still here so I think we're okay, lol Those are some interesting stories though. That one bunker was the worst yet. We'll see what else we find. More pics to come!

I used those numbers for my lottery ticket when it got up to 80 bazillion (slight exageration of the true amount) dollars. I obviously didn't win.

Maybe we'll find something similar at some point!

>>> on the right is a highschool, and it was there long before the dome was built. <<<

And that's where I went to high school... we could see the factory off in the distance in those days, and I wondered occasionally what it was for. I knew it was closed, but little besides that.

Much later, the armament factory made it into the news as a major cleanup site, and photos were posted in the papers... pics of labs, etc., left abandoned - seemingly at the end of a normal workday. Apparently nothing was taken out because it was all too contaminated. Shortly after that the Feds moved in, leveled the place, and built that dome over it.

If anybody's interested, the proprietors offer guided tours of the site. More infos can be found here: http://www.lm.doe.gov/weldon/Sites.aspx

On a side note, the Mrs. and I toured the Auschwitz and Majdanek concentration camps while on a trip through Poland in 1985. At those sites, anyway, the gas used in the chambers was Zyklon B. I seem to recall that it was intended for use as rat poison, but the Nazis found creative ways to re-purpose it. Hideous... it was a crystalline stuff, and came in cans. I think they added water to unleash the mayhem.
