| | | Way cool. My girlfriend has a book called Seafort that was written by an artist who lived on one of the towers for a month. He describes the movement of the towers and the strange noises that he heard. He was even convinced of hearing a woman's voice calling out someone's name. It is alleged that life on the forts could induce a kind of madness due to the isolation and nature of life the conscripts who manned them had to endure. Cabin fever. I like the Navy ones like Knock John Tower and Sealand.

| | | I found a picture of the towers from my dad's archives. Apparently the ship he was working on in the 80s passed the towers and he realized that one day his son might be interested in such abandoned stuff... ;)

| | | Honestly ... Its not somewhere you can easily get too; or UK people would have done it. There is a trust for the forts that looks for volunteers occasionally thou

I'm considering harnessing Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe to some kind of sea going chariot. One must be resourceful.

Ha Ha, excellent. These do look interesting, probably a concern about the structural integrity. Considering how close they are (understatement) to the sea (more o2) and being almost completely made of metal. Would be worth a look. It would be amazing to leave at the end of the day and get a sunset-silhouette pic of these monsters!
Too cool...Thanks for posting. [last edit 5/23/2009 4:58 PM by G.U. - edited 1 times]
