| | | I kinda like the thing. It's too bad it wasn't built somewhere it could actually be completed and put into use.

| | | I don't think you would be allowed to own a camera if you're living in DPRK. And if you are allowed to own one, I don't think you would be able to afford it. Just kidding, but I read somewhere that the government restrict the max focal lenght of lenses. I.E: Can't own a lens with a focal lenght that is longer than 200mm. 1.6 crop factor for the win !

| | | Could you imagine all the other abandonments littering that country? If they couldn't finish something that iconic for their country, imagine all the smaller things that are there...

if 200mm is the max they allow....teleconverters for the win. a 2x would make the focal length equal to a 400mm, and so on with larger teleconverters. they're mighty useful in a pinch. most people who aren't photographers themselves would probably just scratch their heads and assume it was some sort of broken or modified small lens.
and wasn't this building on one of those "top 10 abandonments" lists from that one website people kept posting about? [last edit 2/2/2008 2:12 AM by everybodyknows - edited 1 times]
