a little advice?

ok so this weekend i'm visiting a friend in memphis (where i went to school) and i've had my eye on this place for years now. if i remember correctly all the bottom floor windows are boarded and i'd most likely have to go through the second floor. and advice on safety and stealth? because of the area i will need to go in the middle of the day. now i'm not worried about being seen by the people next door.. it a museum where i know almost all the people who work there.

a little history: the complex was used to study the yellow fever to try and find a cure. the hospital was built between 1884-1910. i think most of the asbestos has been removed.. i am wearing a mask anyways.

here are a few pics i've found through tax records...

Nice looking spot.
Care to elaborate on why you have to go in the afternoon? Is it a rough part of town?

Nice.

Hey, I'll be in Memphis this weekend, too.

That building has recently been bought, and I believe it will be turned into condos. I'm not sure if it will be accessible or not, but good luck!

dangit.. thats this site for full members right? i wish i could see it ;_;

sara: i hope to get in... i can't believe they want to turn it into condos... in memphis there are too many damn condos.

and my questions were for ways to be stealthy when i have to be out in broad daylight. i would prefer to go in daylight for good pics... and also the area is VERY dark.. the only house is at the metals museum next door. it's kinda scary cause there are indian mounds in the park >.>

if you're worried about stealth, go in just before dawn and just chill and wait a couple of hours for good light.

asbestos is a major issue here. they are in the middle of cleanup. there is no access at this moment without permission and i wouldn't recommend going during the day. the metal museum employees next door are working on site.

i was able to find a way in several months ago that is no longer available. the owner is aware of my past trips and has closed it up. that being said, if you ever wanna check the place out, pm me.

the condos are going to be nice. this guy is trying to revitalize a dying area. this is the one part of town that could use a breath of life like this. and he is trying very hard to preserve the building.

Are you now, or have you ever been?
