I don't think he was trying to use it to get out of anything. He wasn't really doing anything wrong, and letting the Police know that you used to be one of them can help you gain their respect, and they will be more likely to listen to you.

I know the location that he is talking about and have been there myself. I may hit urbanxplrr up to explore it again with me or see if he wants to explore around my hometown.
1. not everyone takes photo's they just explore, I personally do take photos
2. not everyone shares your ethics, plus he said contraband not necesarily something taken from the site
3. moral fiber - their trespassing
4. didnt say they took anything except for the contraband that they hid
5. really depends on Urbanxplrrr's willingness to meet with people and explore
*Contraband could be anything Drugs, Weapons, etc. we shouldnt judge anyone without the facts.

I did find the moral fibre part amusing since everyone here is trespassing and I'm pleased to see that at least YOU can read between the lines. And as for photos: that is the reason behind all of this... at least for me.
I'm beginning to think my donation was ill spent. Looking back through the forums, I really don't see a lot of useful information or mature conversation. Just a bunch of joking, teasing, insulting and criticism. And the worst of it comes from the very members that should be supportive, helpful and set the example.

Somehow or another I apparently got started here on the wrong foot. I’m willing to bet those of you that have been the most critical of me are among those who don’t even bother to read the introductory posts of newbees to the board. Had you done so you might have noted that I’ve been a UE for a long time and the sites I mentioned are all verifiable. I also believe my introductory post was in no way condescending or superior minded at all.
My second post, which has brought me such warmth and encouragement, was merely an attempt to stimulate conversation about an area that I am sure is of interest to everyone. Having been in law enforcement for as many years as I have, I have encountered countless situations where I caught or intercepted persons trespassing on all kinds of properties, abandoned and otherwise, and the outcome of those encounters, more often than not, were decided by what those parties had to say, how they said it and what they had on them at the time. It was this experience I thought might be of interest to members of this site. I also have learned that it’s a good idea not to jump right in and tell people I was a cop… especially when the subject at hand is illegal. People seem to always have a reaction to cops. Be it good or bad, there is always some kind of reaction. Nobody is ever neutral.
I was not trying to be “mysterious”, just postponing that bit of information until it was appropriate to the conversation. I also knew most people do not like to wade their way through long dissertations. Brevity is always best. The post had become long enough already so the rest could wait until I got a response. I am truly sorry for whatever the hell it is I did, but my only intent was to share information that might prove useful to the members if they should find themselves detained by authorities. It is, after all, our greatest risk after personal injury. If my son and his friends are caught back in that mill by one of those same officers, they’ll be in deep shit. I can’t expect him to stay out of there so I would like him to have an idea how he’s going to handle it should it happen. Does all of this sound unreasonable?
What possible, earthly reason would I have for bullshitting about any of this? What could I possibly stand to gain? From whence comes this insane prejudice? Is it because I was a cop? Is because I’m old? Is it because I can actually construct a sentence that makes sense? Who in the hell are you to judge me? You don’t even know me! I don’t mind being teased or poked fun of… I can hand it out as well as take it, but it’s obvious, (with the exception of the photo jokes) there was nothing but malicious intent in these attacks. I suppose you simply want the newbees to be silent and bask in the enlightenment of your vast experience and knowledge.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope, should it be shown sometime in the future I was telling the truth, that you will have sufficient maturity to apologize. Somehow I doubt it. JC has my personal email. He’s free to share it with anyone who wishes to confirm ANYTHING I said. Of course that would mean having to admit you were wrong, and I’m sure you lack the balls.

If I was really in a malicious mood you would not see me being so nice. Your getting what you deserve for storming in here starting a flame thread for your first post. There are plenty of active LEOs here.
I've been friends with more than one pathological liar. They tend to be highly intelligent; too smart for their own good. The post of yours I just quoted reeks of BS; I don't buy it. The way you evolved the story further fuels my belief your trying shine us on. I think you've been watching this site longer than two days.
