| | | | Most of my UE is at night, and I find it useful to wear all black, long sleeve shirts, and black pants, black shoes. That way if you want to blind into the night, just stand still or walk into the shadow. It’s interesting to notice that if you keep all of your skin covered you can disappear into the night. I’m pretty white so it helps.
Camouflage doesn’t help when you’re at a gas station, or getting something to eat, before and after a mission. But if your wearing all black no one notices. Its also a good idea to find a belt that doesn’t have a reflective metal piece on it.
I’m not sure if a ghillie suit would come in handy. But it would depend on the site and time of year. But it does look fun to ran around in one of those. But everyone in the team would have to have one, or it wouldn’t really work.

| | | | Around here, plenty of trendy stores are selling camo clothes (though not good quality for exploring). I've worn my camo through 3 police roadchecks (every person in the car dressed in camo as well) and haven't had a single question about it.
I've been within 10 feet of security guards looking for me with flashlights and not been found while in my camo. In the right situations, it is a valuable asset. Pure black is actually too dark and will often show a discernable silouhette of darker than the surrounding areas. A dark grey is actually better for that...

Dark grey works especially well in a location where there is no plant life and you want to blend in with concrete and the colors of the building you are standing next to. Occasionally I might even wear tan because a lot of the streetlights and the color of the concrete at some industrialized locations are kind of orange-ish. It still always comes down to preference and the situation at hand.

The urban camo pattern is black, grey and white splodges, and works quite well with a jacket of the same colour.
Also they look pretty cool too.
There are numerous different shades and patterns out there, including snow on autumn leaves, blue tiger, fern bushes, woodland blend, pine forest, urban rubble, snow and rocks, and many more.
The range, quality and value for money really lends itself to the explorer. Anyone from serious to silly could use it.

From my own test of it on missions. You could ask Jolt or Pixie how easy it was to spot me... well, not really, since neither of them, despite knowing where I was, could actually see me. I told them to move up to where I was, and had to give them directions and move around a lot to let them know where I meant. This type of camo, you do look silly in on the street, definitely. But even while I was moving, they were hard pressed to spot me, so I don't know about that claim of it standing out to the human eye...

The camo is computer generated squares of some kind or another, and is done in natural colors (your standard black, OD Green, etc... not withstanding). I'm looking around for pictures of it, but I haven't been able to find them.
Maybe I'll see if I can't hitup the PX or the uniform place and see if I can't get some photos of it.
