| | | Edmonton, Alberta. When I was a kid I crawled/climbed/walked/ran through any building off the beaten path! Last few years ... not so much. Was very glad, about a year or so ago, to see that I wasn't the only freak that liked dilapidated, abandoned old buildings. I haven't done any exploring the last year because I am self employed, and on a very lucrative but free time constricting contract in Fort Mcmurray (although I am working on a few things up here for pictures). I will hopefully have something to post very soon, and would love to meet any other UE'rs from the Edmonton area on one of the few weekends I'm home!

Hey, barns are real nice! One of my pet projects is photographing barns
|
YEah, photographing them is cool. And I have seen some pretty vista's. But no way I would set foot in most of them due to decay and hazards.

| | | Summerville, SC (near Charleston) I've been exploring for about three years... though my sister started me at a young age exploring the old forts on Sullivans Island (before they were closed off) and random abandoned buildings in Myrtle Beach. I'm game for just about anything, though I adore industrial buildings and churches. I think that the most exciting thing about UE is what you may find inside.

| | | Location Bristol No experience but I have always loved old abandoned houses and buildings since I was a child. The photos here are breath taking and I hope you don't mind that I have nothing to offer to the site but I do so love the stories and the photos. This is a wonderful site and I spend hours reading, it is almost like I am there. Keep up the good work and keep those photos coming.

| | | Richmond/Lexington, KY I've been in college for god-only-knows-how-long, so most of my ventures have been on campus. Started a few years ago at Berea: getting on the roofs of every single building, in mechanical rooms, steam tunnels - I guess I usually go where the mechanical stuff is. I've snuck around in some old train tunnels and abandoned limestone mines, and an explosives depot, and some of the old abandoned mansions near Univ of Chicago. EKU never really had any surprises for me so I kinda slacked off. I started at UK recently, but hadn't really done any exploring. Visiting Eastern the other day, I managed to get into a mechanical room and on the roof of a building which sort of relit the fire. I'll be looking around the Lexington, KY area for anything interesting...

| | | Reston, VA and Vermont. I'm a pro photographer that has been investigating abandoned houses, buildings, roofs, tunnels, sewers, and various structures for I suppose around 15 years now. Namely for exploration but i've gotten a few good shots out of it over the years. I've also had the sh*t scared out of me more times than I can count. And that is exactly why I continue to do it Traveling to Russia/Eastern Europe in general to do the same thing next Spring. I'm really glad I found this website. I don't even remember now but I'm pretty stoked.
Cheers, fo http://www.zoom.sh |

| | | I'm from Nashville, TN - formerly Blacksburg, VA. I've been exploring for 2-3 years now, at least in a serious capacity. I love taking pictures, but more often than not they're either poorly composed or I'm just too damn lazy to. I haven't been able to explore much recently due to Nashville not having many abandoned sites, but I'm getting more and more interested in live infiltration as time goes on. Oh, and I f*cking HATE pidgeons.

| | | Springfield/Lorton VA Just recently started exploring, I've done it before off and on for a few years (HEY COOL ABANDONED BUILDING LETS GO), but nothing serious. Just found the website about 10 minutes ago. Not really a photographer, but love finding all the animals that live in tunnels and old houses and such (especially Spiders, Snakes, and such..) Recently just gave myself a night tour of the old Lorton Prison.
