I don't know how the belgium ppl do it, but the ppl I hang out with in the netherlands (that sounds scary) are always ok with: get a map, look up interesting points and drive aound. Sometimes the map is omitted.

Tijmen

BTW, cool you can come too y0ze...

Antwerp harbour is a cool place to drive trough - even if you don't find any UE locations - it still has a lot of atmosphere. I have detailed city maps of Antwerp and Brussels.

planning is 10-14 aug.

Planning now is:
day 1 (aug 10) - liege
day 2 (aug 11) - charleroi
day 3 (aug 12) - coast
day 4 (aug 13) - gend
day 5 (aug 14) - antwerpen

but if on_parole has to work during the week, we can turn it around so he can come during the weekend to liege.

Tijmen

P.S. if everyone who wants to come pm's me his phonenumber (cellphone off course) and the days you want to come, and transport you have available, I'll work out some kind of schedule.

Saturday may be a problem, depending on what time you are in Ghent. I'm free in the morning till about 10.30am, after that I have to go to Ursel.
Well, you still have adstar to show you arround.

What would planning bring for people if we turned it all around:

Day 1 / Aug 9 : Antwerpen
Day 2 / Aug 10: Gent
Day 3 / Aug 11: Coast (Northern France)
Day 4 / Aug 12: Charleroi
Day 5 / Aug 13: Liege

This of from Aug 10 to Aug 14.

Does this lead to more problems than there are now?

Tijmen

P.S. I'm gonna make a definite schedule (concerning cities) on friday or saturday. Could everyone who wants to join PM me his/her phonenumber so I can contact you during the event? (I allready know uair's and on_paroles, and Titch's if it's still the same)

Maybe we should decide which locations we definitely want to do already, to at least organise it a little. That way we know what we are doing and don't have unexpected surprises (like demolished locations).

The planning seems ok, I will be able to join in for some days.

I just heard things are going very bad with the RTT home in Oostduinkerke, a lot of stuff got stolen recently (flooring included), plus a lot of vandalism seems to be going on. So, we better put this on the visit list and go there before it gets even worse.

Ok. Schedule is now FIXED as the following:

Aug 10: Liege
Aug 11: Charleroi
Aug 12: Coast (Dunkerque, Zeebrugge, or both)
Aug 13: Gent/Gand
Aug 14: Antwerpen.

I am myself not a really big fan of having a very fixed plan which sites to go to, I prefer having a meeting in the morning and deciding then.

My budget for the whole event including Gas is about EUR 200, which comes down to a free budget of EUR 10 per day for me. How is creditcard acceptance in Belgium?

I'm note sure how many days I will be able to join in (or at all), as I've got some problems (I've got to redo a lot of exams and I'm kinda off-scheme). However, I'll try.

I will probably be coming on 2 or 3 days, not necessarily consecutive. I will try to work out a schedule with the family.
