Hi brad, good to hear from you again. Make sure to check out the world forum and look for your area to talk with other people in your area. As far as posting a location, make sure you don't post any pics of a point of entry. Probably the biggest rule you can break when posting a location. You can post it in your area forum or on the photography forum. There might be a few other places you can post it but generally that is the best to stick with as a basic member. I hope you get to meet some new explorers and find some new places.

What's up UER fam. My name is Joe, I'm currently residing in the central valley here in Northern California. I've found myself drawn to the abandonment and decay of our surroundings. I ride BMX a ton, and I often find locations to "ride" that are abandoned, deserted ect. Also the location of where I am at, has a ton of history. From abandoned mines to industrial and residential properties. My main interest would be to explore and find any abandoned military sites. I'm familiar with the Nike Missile sites in and around the Bay Area. Would like to meet with some folks and explore.

What's up Ryan? I'm in the same area as you so if you ever want to explore with someone else hit me up. Make sure you post your pics in the photography thread or post it over in the world forum for our location. Other than that have a great day.

Hi Ciara, make sure you check out the World forum and find your location to post in. You will have better luck finding members in your area there. Enjoy your time on UER!

Hello there, UER people I'm Nina, 32, living in the Netherlands and fairly new to urbex - I've actually done this for a while, but only discovered it was a thing a few months ago on a trip to Caucasus. Don't know if it's in the full database, but I hope you all get the chance to see it for yourselves someday

I'm a rookie to this site but not to the sport. I love exploring and photography. I live around Austin so that's where most of my expertise is. Would love to meet some more like myself! I've been exploring since I was 15 I'm 20 now. Started construction sites and worked my way up to abandoned buildings. It's the thrill of the find that gets my blood pumping

Hello! I'm earlyGrey, a digital artist, hobby photographer and (kind of) a translator (between Japanese and English) from the Toronto area. I've been pretty interested in urban exploring because of my absolute how much I love the thrill of discovering an old dilapidated building, as well as learning the history of it. As for now, I don't have too much experience with urban exploring, aside from being able to sneak up to the roof at a secondary school in downtown Toronto, and I'm looking for some nice experiences to add under my belt. If anyone is willing to meet up, send me a message, and maybe we can work things out!

Hi, Newbie from CT here. I've done bouts of urban exploration over the years, much of it before I even knew urbex was an established hobby. I love abandoned structures, especially industrial and historical spaces. I hope to do more of it in the future and certainly love hearing about others' trips. Thank you for the wealth of information in the FAQ. I've often gone on impulse trips with almost no items or preparations but that's going to change now.

Test post? EDIT: Weird. Boogookie said this page was closed due to the number of pages (100) but that appears not to be the case..... *shrug*

Helllooooo UER, My name is Sloane, and I'm from Indiana. I like to travel all around the United States going into abandoned places and pretty much just watching America decay... It's extremely interesting? I hope to someday wonder outside of the U.S. to pursue this passion/ hobby as well. I've been into exploring for a few years now, but I only recently discovered such a large community of people who share the same interests. I'm only 18, so it has been fairly recent that I have been able to explore all of the places I really want in depth, but I spend countless hours every night researching new exciting places to check out. I would consider myself to be good with photography, and once I gain a full membership I cannot wait to post detailed locations with my experiences and include my photography. besides just putting information out and contributing to the DB, I would love the opportunity to get to know all of you, especially those who have years on me and are experienced and full of stories. SO PLEASE feel free to give me tips and advice. I would consider myself to be friendly and outgoing and would love to start a conversation with all of you.

Hi Sloane, what part of Indiana are you from? I live just outside of Cincinnati and am always looking for other explorers if you're ever in the area!

Hi Sloane If you are looking to go out of state, Ontario would be a great place to start. We have a lot of members up there and a lot of places to explore. Post your photos now too, don't be afraid to share with us. Just make sure you read through the rules on how and where to post. Other than that I look forward to your content

Hello! UER members rookies and veterans alike, My name's Andrew and I currently reside in the DFW area. I became interested in Urban Exploration due to my interest in photography. Chasing the next scene to photograph has led me along a journey of discovering interesting and forgotten places around the metroplex. I especially enjoy forgotten railroads and bridges over-taken by nature. I haven't been to many iconic and especially eye-catching locations but, I look forward to documenting and sharing my experiences with the forum!
I don't dwell on the past, I explore it. |
