would really like to visite the salem cemetary at night, is that in your area? Dont know why but i find them really fun exploring them at night, cool atmosphere

As in 'Witch City', Salem?
He is about an hour away, I was born and raised there until my teenage years, and yea, the cemetery can get your attention, nothing truly 'strange', but random temperature changes and dotting lights in the distance are a normal.

Hello all,

I'm a newbie urban explorer from the DFW area. I've only explored a few beginner spots in the area and I'm looking to meet people to explore more. I'm not much of a photographer but I love the thrill of just being inside abandoned places. If any DFW folks want to meet up just let me know!

Hey everyone, I am a new explorer from Montréal. I've explored a couple of spot in the last year without knowing that Urbex was a thing. I really like photography of all sort and I find Urban Exploration photographs really attracting. I hope I can meet some people from my area and share pictures that will interest you all.

I always loved the mystery of abandoned houses, "spooky" places and old factories as a kid. I'm lucky enough to have been inside a smaller scale manufacturing facility inside a former repurposed Chrysler plant in Scio, Michigan that my dad worked at when I was only 3 years old. I also went to the ghost town of Bodie, CA with my family 2 years later and we wen inside one of the houses that was missing it's padlock. We also explored abandoned mineshafts and I collected shotgun shells and made a cool scrapbook about it.

So you can say these experiences have influenced me to continue to explore. There have only a handful of exploration opportunities since then, having moved to a more booming area in NC and done most of my growing up there. A handful of abandoned properties were fun to explore. Three or so houses, half torn down or half falling down, one had been a party spot for over a decade, and the site of a rape/murder. There was also the now-demolished Bynum Mill. We had some fun times there, but not as many as the classes and classes of high schoolers had since it's closure in the early 80's I also had the chance to explore an old university building that was being prepared for demolition and it had some very interesting and old preserved areas inside.

I'm now living in the PDX area and plan to move back to the Great Lakes region in the next year or two. At 32, I feel I make a much smarter explorer than I would have at a younger age, have more confidence having done some traveling, and have no kids or wife. This time I would like to take more photos and carry a better camera, it there' a nothing like actually being there. After having met a lot of people from the Couchsurfing community and motorcycling community, I feel that UE would be a great next group of
like-minded people to get involved with.

Hey all.

New member from the wonderful state of WI here. A friend of mine has recently introduced me to urban exploring. I mean, Ive always loved exploring, I just didnt realize there was a community for it. So far we've only gone on one mission, but we both travel alot to play disc golf and have starting keeping track of where all the cool abandoned stuff around the state is. By Spring we should have a nice list of stuff to 'splore!

I love to travel. Mainly for disc golf, but also just traveling for travelings sake. In the decade I have had a license, I have taken 3 road trips to the East coast, 1 to New Orleans, 1 to Denver, and 2 6K+ mi trips to San Diego where my Mom lives, the first going straight west to the Pacific down the coast and back through KC, and the other south to New Orleans to San Diego and back through CO. All that to say I have a problem. I may be addicted to driving. When Im bored I drive aimlessly looking for cool stuff.

So urbex is totally something I can get into, Id love to know some cool stuff to 'splore on trips!

Unfortunately I am not a picture taker, otherwise Im sure Id have some relevant pics of cool shit Ive seen in various cities throughout the country. I came back from my first SD trip with like 6 pics, lol. Ill have to start being more of a photographer when im exploring.

If you are in or around Wisco, message me!

Hey everyone,

I've been registered for a little over a year but have only recently started getting involved on the forums. I've been exploring for about 12 years and in the coming weeks I'm going to be trying to dig up some of my old photos, some of which are from places that have sadly been destroyed.

I'm currently in the Boston area and would love to meet up with some fellow explorers in the coming months. I'm a little bit more risk averse than I was when I was younger, but I'm sure there's still fun to be had. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

To Whoever May Read This,

After discovering the Database a little over 4 months ago I didn't realize there was a whole forum to go along with it. I have always enjoyed going places that the majority of people have never seen or known about. I'm located around DFW Airport. I would be happy to meetup with people in the Area. Hopefully I can become a regular contributor to this forum as I'm still getting accustomed to some to how its set up.

Hey all,

I'm a fairly new in the Bay Area (originally from Seattle). I've done a fair bit of exploring abandoned mining towns up in the mountains of Washington. I've been to a couple abandoned military bases around the Bay Area but am looking to venture out further! Occasionally I'll bring my longboard to skateable locations and enjoy the terrain. Let me know if you're interested in meeting up and/or showing me around!

I'm the ghoul. I've been scaling fences, crawling through woods and climbing through windows for a while now, but I've finally been convinced to register on UER by a friend. I've always found old things to be interesting - Rust, dust and must are my three best friends - and abandoned buildings are particularly appealing to me.

Oh, and Merry Christmas to all of you.

Hi guys, I just found out about this site and hope to become part of your community here. This website reminds me of the good ole days of the internet, lol.

So about me... I'm in my mid-twenties, female, cat mom, vegan, born and raised in Wisconsin and I'll probably die here too. Exploring is cool, but I've only been to a handful of places. I love old houses and industrial buildings, but who doesn't?! I've been a member of a car forum for a few years and make yearly trips to gatherings with them. This summer, one of the members there took my boyfriend and I exploring in Ohio and Pennsylvania after a meet. It was crazy how much stuff we were able to see in such a short time span there.

I'm no stranger to meeting strangers from the internet, so it would be neat I could meet up with someone and go on an adventure some time.

Hi.

So I'm Mars- previously registered last year but just now posting. I'm a freelance photographer from Pittsburgh and started getting into urbex about 13 years ago when there was a whole lot more to see in the city proper. Trying to find new places as I've stagnated a lot this past year with the advent of a lot of my old haunts getting sealed/refurbished/demolished (I realize I'm preaching to the choir) hence trying to be more active here.

If Pittsburgh peeps want to meet up, I'm down for cold weather hiking.

Hey everyone, my names Coletheon or just call me Cole. I'm pretty new to UER in general but I can't wait to see some of the amazing sites in my area. I'm located in Toronto and have only had one successful exploration so far, the other 2 locations we heavily locked down. If anyone is interested in joining me or letting me tag along feel free to shoot me a message. I think I'll enjoy my stay here.
Happy exploring!!!

Hello! My name is Skylar. I am a explorer. LOL. I live a tiny bit south of Portland Oregon. I try to make it out to Portland once a week and explore it up. If any of you's live in or around Portland feel free to hit me up. DM me up. Also If you ever come by Portland from out of town and want to meet a local that has explored the terrain significantly hit me up too. I currently am in need of really cool friends to hang out with. I feel very alone. I do have my dad. He's alright. .
