were it not for the completely crushed state of its skull, i could probably tell... from what i am seeing of the TEETH, it looks like a cat. the sun and body juices could have made the fur white and more coarse, but then the paw confuses me.. again it could be because it was completely flattened entirely that the paw looks so strange, and perhaps it dried elongated looking.. i dont know fur sure though. its NOT a raccoon i can tell you that, nor a possum, which i initially thought before research..
edit: i meant to say (but trailed away from it) that it could have also been a white haired cat to begin with..

I once happened across a pile of dead mice. A two foot tall pile. They looked like they'd been put there by raccoons or something. Obviously, I ran out screaming like a little girl.

edit: spelling/clarifying.

I know that blood is purple and changes color when it mixes with oxygen but I have never seen it turn black in a small quantity??? it was brown, guess the flash made it look brighter.

Sorry to be one of those people, but that is totally false. It's red through and through. It appears blue in veins because of a kind of visual filtration process the layers of skin produces. Bright red when oxygenated (arterial blood gases) and darker red when less oxygenated (venipuncture). Blood flow charts often show two colors: red and blue to indicate direction of blood flow from the heart, not because of actual color.

Yup.

Creepy. Hopefully done on purpose and not real.... Seeing that, and being there, and not being able to tell anyone that you saw that in an abandoned building would make me feel like an accessory.... Ugh. I would get over it eventually though.

Speaking of gross stuff, I work from time to time in the OR at a Houston Med center hospital. Always get to see cool gross stuff, but worst I've seen on an exploration was a dead (and huge) opossum in the Cheapside, Tx (ghost town) post office.

That's actually really, really disturbing... don't know if it's water damage or just dirt but some of those looked like they were once white...and they ALL look kinda crusty.

I remember seeing an article in the paper a while ago about some guy who would break into peoples houses to steal womens lingerie lol. Maybe he's one of those people.
