Well as far as i know nothing is for sale there, but the tractor is still in working order (just needed new tires. As are most of the cars there(bonus points to the people who can name which cars are in running order). So at least you can sleep soundly at night knowing it won't rot into the ground... well it won't be for long anyways.

OH added note, I found out the 5020 says it has 1301 hours on it, but I'm sure its a little more then that.



Also i forgot about this bad boy tucked near the entrance of the property. Gotta love the now extinct panther platform.

thats a flashback for me. my mom had a late 70's two door LTD when i was a kid. thing was a TANK! my mom was in love with it cause it had a factory 429 big block.

i didn't think that the 429 was available in the LTD... I know that it didn't fit in the 1979 Thunderbird my dad restored. He had to pull the heater box and A/C out of it.

as for the Cutty wagon... the rear windows didn't even roll down in those damn things.

it was. keep in mind the LTD was a larger car then the thunderbird. the thunderbird actually shared the chassis with the smaller LTD II im pretty sure as well as the torino. which is weird, cause even the torino came with the 428 and 429 big blocks also. so it should have fit in the thunderbird also.


im typically an import guy. but know alot about old ford cause my parents were huge ford people. my dad had a 78 ranger custom that went through like 5 different drivetrains of different sorts including a 429SCJ out of a 71 torino at one point.

at 1:18 or thereabouts, that's a 79-82 Mustang with a 2.3L OHC, right behind that is an early 80's P_lymouth K-car wagon, and behind that is an Oldsmobile full-size variant (probably a Delta 88), and after that is an early 80's Ford LTD (the mid-size Fox variant model).

at 1:33 is the ass of a 70 Mustang and an old 70's Honda Civic CVCC.

1:47 is another Honda Civic and a 79-81 Mustang hatchback.

2:15 is a 71-73 Mustang fastback (or sportsroof as it was known)

2:57 looks like a mid-70's Monte Carlo... I originally thought this might've been a Laguna S3, but a 2nd look at the quarter panel makes me think Monte Carlo.

3:30 is a late late 70's very early 80's Chevy Malibu Classic nose.

4:01 starts with a Ford F-series, most likely an F100 2wd longbox and pans across to the tail of a 70's Ford Granada. The car immediately to the right is a GM A-body of some sort (?). Don't really get a good look at it.

4:12 is head on with a 74+ Ford Maverick/Mercury Comet sedan and another F-series. Probably another base model F100.

4:27 or thereabouts i am pretty sure is a Plymouth Fury/Dodge Monaco sedan

4:39 is a Dodge Dart coupe

4:52 is head on with a 65 or 66 Ford F-series

5:04 is another 71-73 Mustang.

5:21 is a 68 Mustang... you can tell by the gauge cluster. It was different than 64-66.

5:26 is a full-size Chevy wagon (probably a Bel Air or Biscayne)
5:28-5:29 you can catch a 68 or 69 Malibu/Chevelle coupe

6:21 is another 69-70 Mustang
and right next to that is a 64.5-66 Mustang coupe and 69-70 Mustang fastback.

the biggest engine in the Thunderbird LTD was the 400 which was a bloated version of the boat anchor that was the 351M. I know the Lincolns were equipped with 460's after 71 or 72, which were just beefed up 429's. There were two different Ford big-block series: FE and 385. FE series ran all the way back to the 292 Y-block and culminated in the 428 CJ. The 385 series was the 429 and 460.

believe me, the LTD definitely came with the 429 option. LTD's came with 429-460's from 1969-1978. It was never the standard engine choice, but offered as an option. a basic search around on google will even tell you that. ;)

My mom had a 79 Malibu. Same thing, the rear windows were fixed, and you had them shitty little pop-out vent windows to open. It really sucked in that car without A/C.

Someone's been importing these by the boatload into Canada and selling them for something around $8000 a piece. I can't see them being easy to get parts for...

A friend of mine has a Suzuki Carry (basically the exact same thing) but most of these JDM shops also import parts. Availability hasn't been an issue so far.
