Nah, dude, MSP is Live right now. I thought the same about my city, but then realized the most exciting time to be exploring is now - it adds so much more of a physical/mental challenge. Just approach everything with an open mind and hone your skill set.

It's a Triumph Daytona 675. That's my race bike, not street legal. It's all blinged out with tick go-fast parts. I also have a second Daytona 675 with no fancy parts for street rides with the lady. She has a Ninja two-fiddy.

If it weren't for my GF I would never ride the street again. I would prefer being exclusive to the track. Racing is some how much safer than public streets.
Now, lets end this thread jack.
It's been a brutally cold winter here in MN with lots if deep snow.
So, how about wandering around in the middle of the night in some serious windchill stoked for a new explore that you find well sealed and it's too damn cold to look for an alternate POE...
Spring cannot come soon enough.

Happened just this Monday. Went exploring a huge complex, only to discover the most interesting parts were actually guarded and monitored.
Bastards. 
I'll put up a nice post about what we did catch though. Fans of abandoned central stations would enjoy.

My biggest disappointment has been a combo of going inside a building and slipping on questionable shit, not having anything around me to wipe it off AND moments later running into a construction worker telling me "Hey, you shouldnt be living here. Please leave before I call the authorities." Lol! I tried to explain myself for half a second, but reasoning hit me so I said okay and to please forgive me lol.
A story that only my wife and the guy knew, but now its here for everyones enjoyment hahaha.

Yes. Too many to list, but these three stick out and hurt the most.
First one is a small school built in 1905 and closed by Detroit Public Schools in 2010. I can't even begin to tell you how many times we called DPS about the building being open and getting hit by scrappers or how many times we called DWSD about the cracked and gushing water service valve in the basement. These 2 sets of pictures are only separated by four and a half months. May to September.

The second spot is my favorite church of all time. Built in 1949 and closed by the Archdiocese in 1989. You'd never ever guess it was closed for 25 years, but it was. It stayed in beautiful, like new shape all that time, probably because it was tucked back far in a good neighborhood on the east side far away from everything else... Until the asshole neighborhood kids found the way in to smoke weed and vandalize it. It made me so mad that I called the Archdiocese of Detroit myself and also sent them a message on Facebook. They got in touch with the new owner and had the building sealed up in very short order.

The last one is a huge old auto plant that was most recently only being partly used as a tool and dye machine repair shop. When we first started going to this spot, it was still partly active. The last time we went before the sale, we were snooping around in one of the active offices when suddenly the fucking air raid siren started blaring. That was the absolute most fun I've ever had in my life exploring. We didn't go back for a few months after that, but once we heard about the sale and who it was sold to, we had to go back. The tool and dye shop was closed and they just stopped giving a fuck. All the old cars were removed and they were scrapping it out hardcore.

I recently came across a million dollar house in my area that seemed abandoned. It has a sign saying the property is for sale, however it was very obvious it has been that way for quite some time.
My first visit I went to take some pictures and found all doors were locked. So I snapped some pictures and left. A week later I happened to be passing by some I stopped in again and to my surprise the front door was opened up. I poked inside a bit and looked through a few rooms but I was in a hurry so I decided to come back another day. Bad idea.
A few days later I came back to do a full explore and video and discovered all doors had been re-locked. It has been that way ever since.
I'm hoping in the future I'll get the chance to go in and actually explore the entire house.

Usually my biggest disappointments involve finding out the crazy, cool as hell, uber ninja POE I just used was ENTIRELY unnecessary. Puts the worst feeling in my stomach when I circle 3/4ths of a building and find a challenging POE, (4 story climb up a pipe, locked door, ventilation shaft, etc) get inside the building feeling accomplished, and then find out there was an OPEN DOOR on the 1/4th of the building I DIDN'T check. UGH.... I do this all the time lol. one of these days i'll fully scout a buildings exterior BEFORE I go in lol.

When I read about an old abandoned NIKE base near my house on Wikipedia.
This was my first find, so I went online and read EVERYTHING about NIKE bases (History, Wikipedia, Other people's stories, etc). I was excited and ready to explore this abandoned jewel of history.
So I bought a respirator, I scouted out the place and found POE's, then came back about a week later with a bunch of friends.
Except it wasn't there anymore. They had demolished it not 2 days before.
