| | | I think that the number of posts relating to Europe suggests that a "Europe" section might be useful under Regional UE.

| | | I don't know if you've seen this av - but it's a cool little java script utility that gives a global map and little indicators that show where (in very general terms) users are logged in from: http://www.geo-loc.com or for the folks that don't follow french to well... http://www.geo-loc.com/index_en.php [last edit 1/21/2005 10:23 PM by Chainsaw - edited 1 times]

| | | Chainsaw, there are privacy issues here. This sounds like shades of the government's ECHELON tracking system's software. It might be useful in tracking trouble makers, or the all-around assholes, but the suggestion of this being used makes the hair on my neck stand on end, not to mention the potential legal issues involved. The legal aspects of using this utility should be explored BEFORE it is used, just to keep anyone rom being bitten on the ass by by government agency. I may be parinoid, but that's just me. [Admin. | | | Considering it goes so far as to narrow everyone in the US to be shown as being in NewYork, I really doubt it's that big a threat. You do understand that you have a public IP address on the web, right? You understand that they can usually track down where that IP address is by where the ISP that "owns" it is located, right? I think you're being far to paranoid about it...

| | | I'd love it if, when you are reading someone's message and you click on the link to PM or e-mail them, it automatically quoted the person's message. As it is now, I usually hit the quote button, cut and paste the code, go back and hit the envelope icon, which is tedious. Ninj http://www.infiltration.org [Admin. | | | Av, What do you think of having "Your Private Boards" sorted by last post date? Ever since you removed the "Mark Read" buttons, many of mine have green/blue "lights" so it's difficult to tell which just have boring threads or which have new messages .

Problem is, others wanted it to be in a static order (I guess creation date). Tijmen

| | | Here's a suggestion for you Av -- On the main Forums page, where the Regional UE map graphic currently exists, can you also add a drop-down list of the locations (ie: Ontario, Quebec, Great Lakes, etc..)? I usually browse the site with graphics/styles turned off, which makes selecting the Ontario forum (or any other one) impossible (browsing that way also makes it impossible for others to know what site you're looking at ). Just a suggestion...

Expanding on this kind of idea, I always thought it would be cool if there were a thing in your profile to set a "Default UE Regional Board" where there was a drop down of all different Regional boards, and you can set your most-used region there. So, if I put Ontario in there, I see Ontario and "Other Regions" in the Region area. If I want to look at locations in another part of the world, I click on the "Other Regions" thing and it takes me to a list of all the different regions. Its probably a lot of work, but I think a lot of people would enjoy it.

Yes, several times every day. As I am using our fortress' public computer I cannot use the automatic login function, even though I'm the only one who knows about UER. Well, maybe I just bookmark it.
