| | | For any Nashville natives I have a question UE related. Back in 06 or 07 I visited Nashville for a few weeks to hang out with my penpal. She and a lot of the local punk kids brought me to the school they attended for middle school, which was at the time abandoned. I have been scouring the internet trying to find out which school this was and its current status, I suspect its highland heights but the old pictures of it do not match the most memorable piece of the building. The building was enormous, 4 stories, I remember the 2nd and 3rd story had separate entrances to separate balconies of the auditorium. On the 3rd or 4th story, we went into the principals office, and behind that office there was a door to what was basically a giant open attic, with a chainlink cage in the center. The room was very large, easily 2000-2500 sq feet, and the ceilings had to have been 10-11 feet high, and in the chain link cage in the center, was spiral staircase going into a portal at the top, leading to the top of a faux-bell tower, where we had a marvelous view of the city. The kids said the room was the stuff of middle school legend, and it felt almost like the goonies finding one eyed willies ship. I have longed to just find pictures of this school, does anyone know what Im talking about?
