On my way to Phoenix from Flagstaff, I stopped to check out Black Canyon Greyhound Park.

I didn't know exactly where it was, and as I was driving around looking for it, I felt the eyes of the locals on me. A guy walked up to my car and asked if I needed help finding something. He was a little stand-offish at first, but softened up when he realized I was good-natured and harmless, and even gave me directions to the dog track.

I was not prepared for how big the place was. It's a lot of fun to explore and I must've spent at least an hour there. I was still a little nervous that I might run into another of the town's residents who wouldn't be as kind, but I managed to stay under the radar.
