security=damn quick.

I decided to do some scouting today (in daylight) on one of the buildings under demo. The only security measure they had up was a temporary constuction fence. So I parked the bike and started to walk the perimeter, taking a few shots along the way. I then started towards a section of fence that had been moved aside, presumably for construction access.

So i poked in, taking a few shots, and by the time i turned around (which couldn't have been more than 3 minutes), the security-mobile had blocked my only route back to the street and two rather mean looking geezers were stepping towards me.

"How are you today, sir?"

"Oh, I'm doing great. And yourself?"

"Fine, fine. May I ask what you were doing behind that fence there?"

"Oh, I was just taking some shots of the old factory. My grandfather worked there for 41 years, and I've been looking to get some photos of how the old factory looks for him."

"Well, we can't have anyone behind that fence."

"I'm sorry about that."

Then me and the guard (only one did any talking, the other just stood there looking mean) got to talking about how they're eventually going to implode the whole plant. I asked him if there was a timetable for it and he told me "Yes, but it changes every week."

Then I bade the guards farewell and headed back to my bike. The guards proceeded to enter the demo site and look around a bit more, i suppose to see if I had any companions.

I couln't have been at the site more than 10 minutes before the guards showed up. I don't know how they saw me, I wasn't anywhere that could have had motion detectors...cameras maybe, in a place I couldn't see them?

Ah, Gates....
