  I'm not surprised they had radioactive material. It's commonly used to check the thickness of material or even xray it. I would be kinda surprised if they still had any of the good stuff still inside.

  actually otetani... they prolly would have been using technicium 99 which has a half life of about 6 days if my memory serves me well, theres a few others but you wouldnt keep isotopes with massive half lives for structural inspection.
