Cool! I saw something that looked like that a few years ago during "Train Safety Week" when they pulled up a train at the old port, and inside they had an engineer explaining how long it takes to stop a fully loaded freight train, and then he used something almost identical to this device, which was attached to a screen along the wall and we watched as he drove the train, and tried to stop it after hitting a car...

look in trains magazine they have ads all the time for USB loco control stands for simulators
