These railings were re-created-- they had been removed before my lifetime. They were made to match the few still intact on the upper section of the front porch and based on old photos. The upper portion was removed since it was badly rotted, and rebuilt using the same type of wood as the original-- cedar! The smell was wonderful before it was painted. The large colums are restored originals, the railings and upper woodwork is not.
