  Looks like their used to be an elevator to the left of where the holes are in the wall. That white strip with the doors looks as if it could have had an elevator shaft attached.

  Either that or a stairway. Although those do look awfully like older elevator doors.

  not elevator doors, they are just hinged, heavy wooden doors....and yes you can open them right up.

  Interesting... Looks like I've seen holes like this before. Brewery equipment removal made lazy...

  Yep, thats how they removed the huge copper vats used in beer distillation. Very lazy way to do it as well, makes the building quite unstable and obviously destroys it.
